I would doubt it, because the engine computer is programmed for a supercharger which means added fuel and timing is changed,so i dont think it would run if the charger breaks.

No, of course not. The supercharger runs off the serpentine belt drive. I can only assume that the SC spinning unit has either seized or has come apart. Anything seized or coming apart cannot keep turning without spraying metal into the metal parts of the motor without completely destroying the inner parts of the motor. STOP RUNNING this car. Rebuilt superchargers are available for these motors and are priced very reasonably as the new ones from GM are outrageously priced. They are not too hard to replace so stop running this motor. What do you mean by "if supercharger dies"?
Did it lock up?

You can drive it for a while,but not permanently.

I believe you can. If your engine notices a change in the air coming in, it will adapt BUT I wouldn't drive on it very long. I would recommend getting it serviced before taking an long drives.

Yes, you just won't have the power that the SuperCharger supplies.
