Lowes the stores are brighter and cleaner. They give their employees discounts which means they stay longer and seem to know better what they are talking about.

I work at Home Depot, and I went to a Lowes the other day. Yes, their store was a bit cleaner, and had a bit more selection. But It was much more expensive. I know Home Depot lost it's touch over the past 5 or 6 years. But did you know that 5 or 6 years ago we had a new C.E.O. Bob Nardeli. Now, about 2 months ago, we got a new C.E.O. His name is Frank Blake. The reason they replaced him is because they saw how Bob was making the company. I can tell you first hand I have seen many changes so far for the employees, and that's where it starts out. So in the next couple of months, I would Expect some good changes. Plus, in regaurds to the other people who say Home Depot workers are lazy and what not... I work my a*s off, and the reason we are nasty is because of piece of sh*t customers like that who treat people like they own the planet. Maybe you should respect people the way you'd like to be respected.

We have both a Lowe's and a Home Depot within 10 minutes of where we live. Originally, it was just Home Depot, but then they built a Lowe's nearby. I have to say that Lowe's is bigger and therefore has alot more selections of things. We also noticed their merchandise seems to be a little better quality too. One noticeable thing is that the appliance section in Lowe's just blows Home Depot's appliance section away. So my pick is Lowe's.

Depends on what you're lookin for, but
Home Depot all day!
I think Home Depot has a better selection of tools. Lowe's has a better selection of hardware and appliances, but both are neck to neck.

We generally go to Home Depot because it's much closer to home. Lowe's, however, has a very nice selection, and is sometimes more cost effective.

Lowes all the way! I can't ever find help in Home Depot, plus they are unfriendly pricks! Lowes offers the same products, alittle lower in price, and I never have a hard time finding someone to help me.
