I do not like shots or needles and come close to passing out. My question is...is it possible to be successful in getting a tattoo if I can't handle the shots?

If you can't handle a shot, how are you going to handle a tattoo. I would have to say no in your case, I would stick to the simple type press and peel tattoo's, those are nothing to put on and they wont be for life.

shots and tattoos aren't the same thing! why do people mistake the two? i HATE needles. i get queasy and light headed just thinking about them and especially if i see them. the needles used to tattoo are not the same kind of needles used for shots (hypodermic needles) are you scared of sewing needles? pins or tacks? if you are afraid of sharp instruments in general then you may not be able to stand getting a tattoo. but you don't have to look at the tattoo needles. and getting tattooed feels nothing like getting a shot. i would rather get a tattoo any day of the week than have a shot.

No, I have about five and they ALL hurt. If you are afraid of needles getting a tattoo is not a smart idea. A tattoo needle isn't exactly like a regular needle. It doesn't go to deep into your skin. Unfortunately tattoos take MUCH longer than shots and if you are uncomfortable with needles you will be very uncomfortable for quite a bit of time.
But if you get REALLY wasted before hand, it might help! -j/k

Yes - let the man or lady get you in a comfy position lying down on a table for a piercing. Go ahead and pass out. When you awaken, you will have your tattoo.

Well if you can't handle the pain then you really don't want this thing as much as you may think. BUT anything is possible.. shure you can handle it! and once it's over with, you wuould have it and you'd be satisfied and it WOULD BE OVER WITH. And it's just a few shots.. no biggy right?? Don't worry.

I am 40, have three and all I have to say is anyone that says they do not hurt is a liar. It is a grating, irritating, scritchy pain, but once you get started you can't very well stop and it's like childbirth you tend to forget after each one and do it again!

please do not get a tattoo. do you know what they can do to your body?
i dont mean to scare you but if you do choose to get one think of it as a fun time and how beautiful the tattoo will look when the person is done!!!!! or you can think of a good time and relax yourself
or get a smaller tattoo i wouldnt recommend larger tattos.

yes it tickles more than hurts but u have 2 make sure 2 take good care of it so it doesnt scab over or infected. rub body lotion on it bout 10 times a day

i doubt it. my tattoo hurted so bad. i cried threw the entire process. maybe you should consider a diffferent way of expressing yourself seriously.
