when you give birth, what are 4-seps?

They basically look like big salad tongs and are used to pull a baby out. They are only used when the baby gets stuck or the mother is struggling to push the baby out. They are not by any means used in every delivery. Only when necessary. By the way, they are forceps... not 4-seps.

Forceps are a birthing tool that kinda looks like big salad tongs. They don't really use them as much as they used to but it helps when the baby is "stuck" in the birth canal.

A Forceps is an instrument the doctor uses to help pull the baby out if it's stuck. They look like really big salad tongs.

They're called forceps and used to ease the baby out. My first was having oxygen problems so they used them - look like big salad tong, but with rounded ends for babies head. Some also use a vac instead, but that can mishape the head (temporarily).

Forceps. Basically they're metal tongs that are used to grip the baby's head and pull it out of the birth canal.

Forceps and they aren't used very often anymore and when they are it's usually because women are forced to push on their back with their legs up in the air and that works against gravity. When the mother is in a more upright position pushing is shorter and they don't need instruments (in general) go pull the baby out.

I believe you mean "forceps." that is an istrument that is used to pull the baby out of the vagina when the head has trouble appearing, or is too big to come out by itself. It could cause the baby to have a mis-shapened head if not used very carefully by the delivering doctor.

They are used to help guide the babies head out when a woman is having a contraction. They are supposed to be safe but they also sometimes use a vacuum.
