Ok, I know absolutely nothing about taxes...but I made enough this year so that I should be getting back enough to make it worth my while to file something out.... can someone tell me what I need tto do , what forms i need and if i can fill it out online? I'm a student working a part-time job...thanks!!!

If you got a W-2, and that's your only income, download a form 1040EZ from irs.gov and fill it out - there are instructions also at irs.gov for 1040EZ. If you made under $5150 if you're a dependent, or $8450 if you aren't, you should get back whatever you had withheld - that's the amount in box 2 of your W-2.

First of all, I would go to the free efile site and start there. Since you were a student and worked part-time, I'm sure you would qualify. Here is the link:

After you walk through that and select a tax prep service (I used H & R Block) and log onto their site, you will need to have a copy of your W2 from your job so that you will be able to input the info (wages, federal withheld, ect.) that it asks for. It's very easy to do and they walk you through it each step of the way so you have nothing to loose! It does sound like you will get a refund if you did not make that much last year---I know when my daughter was in school and working part-time, she got back all of her federal that was withheld.
