If a guy treats one specific girl a certain way, usually rudely, when they are together with other people, can it mean that he likes her but is too afraid to admit? Does it just mean that something about the girl makes him nervous?

Yes, I don't know why but itis true at least in my experience it is. I have done it several times and in all cases I have ended up losing the girl I love and it sucks cause then I realize it but it's too late. The saying in this case is very true " Don't know what you have till it's gone."

Well normally when a guy likes a girl it doesn't matter if he's in front of the whole world or just him and the girl he should always treat her respectfully and treat her nicely. But boys just like to play games and they are not mature enough to understand how to treat a woman. But a man will always respect and treat a woman the way they should be treated. SO if the idiot is playing games move on.

That is one good sign a guy is into a girl, but too shy to admit it. My boyfriend acts like that now and we have a 4 year old son together, to get married next year when he gets out of the Marines. Not all guys act like that, but a lot of them do. It doesn't always wear off either, lol.

no, there is no reason for a guy to treat a girl badly unless they actually don't like the girl, a guy usually makes fun of them or pokes them just like they did in kindergarten but they usually aren't rude.

I think that any guy who treats a girl rudely in any situation is not worth a POOP!!!
Look for someone who treats you like a queen ALL THE TIME!!!

Sometimes a person feel he needs some attention from that person in front of others so he can't find a way to say it so he is rude. It's hard to explain it but it has happen to me. You are probably right he has feeling for you.

Yes, this is called insecurity. People should only do this when they are -about 11-16 years old. Any older and this dude has got a real problem.

yeah in elementary school, but when your older (unless the guy is immature) it means that your a pain in the ***---wait scratch that, actually i do think an insecure male would do that in order to feel like he is good enough for you, or even just to get your attention

Could be, you definitely need to see how he acts when he is alone with the girl in question. If he acts the same, then its probably nothing, but if his entire demeanor changes, then you can definitely learn something from that.
