If a bear sh*@s in the woods and nobody is there to smell it..does it still stink?

If a tree falls in the woods it makes sound waves. If these sound waves contact an ear drum the waves are converted to sound. If no one or nothing is there the sound waves would eventually die out so no sound would be made. It is very unlikely that there would be nothing in a forest that would hear the sound, so it really is a hypothetical question.
To heather, the bear would smell it so there would be stink.

An interesting philosophical question, but since you can place a listening device in the forest and hear the sound, you really can't equate yourself to a listening device.

No...because reality is defined by the observer and if no one is observing then we can't even be certain that the tree exists.
