It is a World Heritage Site and I was born there and proud to have been so, and that makes me a "Bathonion"...(pronounced Butho neon not as in an onion from Bath!) I live in West Yorkshire now but try to get "home" as often as I can..

To much to say here what I know about Bath, but you can look here for tons of info...

It is the most beautiful place to stroll slowly around. There are historical sites from the Romans on, but the most relaxing aspect is the 18th and 19th century central area. Jane Austen visited Bath and wrote about it. Bath has a thriving university.

Public transit in the southern UK is very good and Bath is within easy reach of all the main centres and historical sites south of Birmingham.

I haven't been to Bath for at least 20 years but it is a true, clear, marvellous part of travel memory.
