It sounds like your noodles are still wet and diluting your sauce if your sauce was thick to start with, dry'um off

It is all about leaving your sauce on the burner longer to drive off the excess water. You can't make good sauce in 40 minutes -- it takes hours and during this CONCENTRATION you actually drive the water out of the sauce which will make it less runny also.

I assume you use good spaghetti pasta and not noodles and know enough to drain them before plating them.

Use a colander to drain the noodles. After pouring out the noodles, shake the colander a bit to toss the noodles & drain as much water out as possible. Be careful not to let the steam burn you - wear oven mitts.

You can also return the noodles to the hot pot & let the residual heat dry out the noodles a little bit more.

ok,fillers are good but if sauce is still runny add 1-2 tablespoons of cornstarch.put cornstarch in a bowl then add a lil water stir and make a paste then add to sauce and stir,if texture still isn't thick enough add more.A trick my grandmother taught me and it really works. Hope it helps.also let noodles sit for 10 min or so after you strain them.

Try using tomato paste in your sauce, that should thicken your sauce. Also make sure you drain the pasta well too. This might be a problem.

Do not add oil to the pasta water. The sauce will not cling to the pasta and will pool at the bottom of the plate.

well, the sauce becomes runny when it is heated so, just either cool down your spagetty or add more tomatos and ingrediants to your sauce

Add tomato paste to your sauce while you are cooking it. That should help. The only other thing is to make sure the spaghetti is properly drained.
