If it doesn't say so in your bible, then she didn't. Eve was deceived into eating the fruit by the serpent and in turn, she gave it to Adam to eat. Both of them were at fault for eating of the fruit which God specifically told Adam not to eat. Adam had a choice to reject the fruit when Eve gave it to him but he didn't, so he was responsible for his own action. God made man and gave us free will, to choose and make our own decisions - if Adam sinned by being disobedient to God's command, it was a choice he made and he should be willing to admit responsibility. What is shown in the bible is that when Adam and Eve sinned against God, they started pointing their fingers and pushing the blame on everyone but themselves, Adam blamed God " ..the woman you gave me... she caused me to..." and Eve blamed the serpent. Today, we still do the very same thing, we blame others for our mistakes and failures, we justify our wrong actions by pushing the faults on others, etc.
As to where the Mormons get their stuff, I suppose it's from their own version of the Bible and hearsay! You cannot believe everything you hear or see as truth, God says to check it out for yourself and that means, look it up in your own correct copy of the Bible (King James, NIV, etc) and check it out! What people tell you may sometimes be wrong, so do learn not to accept everything at face value but check it out against the Word of God.

Satan chose the woman purposefully.
1. She was alone, away from her husband
2. She was the weaker and easier to tempt
3. She was lurking near the tree forbidden to her out of curiosity instead of avoiding it (see Pro_4:15)
4. Satan tempted Eve, so that he could tempt Adam, as Job was tempted by his wife, and Christ by Peter. Satan often comes at a person from unsuspected others, esp. those that have the most interest in ourselves.
Some have stated that Eve probably entered into a lengthy discussion with Adam to convince him to eat of the fruit, but there is no evidence of this in the bible.
Instead I believe that once Eve ate the fruit and sin entered her, she then prevailed upon Adam to eat, using her position as his wife and thereby join in her sinful nature. We have seen in life how the sinful enjoy corrupting others, so this seems reasonable for me to believe.

There is no proof that it was an apple, the Bible calls it the fruit.
I think Mormons get their info from the same person (the devil) that convinced Eve to take of the fruit.

Genesis 3:6
When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.
Eve ate, but Adam was right there during the whole process.
Eve was deceived, but Adam knew better.
Adam had received the command directly from God, before Eve came along. Adam either taught her imperfectly; or she took the command as Adam taught it to her, and added to it. The Bible does not say which.
1 Timothy 2:13-14
13 For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve.
14 And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.
When God came to them in the cool of the evening for their evening stroll, they were hiding from God. When God confronted them, they were both condemned by God for their sin.
Genesis 3:17
Then to Adam He said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat from it';
Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it All the days of your life."
The ground was not cursed because of Eve, it was cursed because of Adam!
Eve had the burden of childbearing, but Adam had the burden of earning a living by the sweat of his brow!
Adam point a finger at Eve; Eve pointed a finger at the serpent; and they all received punishment for sin.

Now how could Eve possibly hae made Adam bite the apple. Did she hold him down, force it into his mouth and make him chew?

Genesis 3:6 says "afterward she gave some also to her husband when with her and he began eating it."
Romans 5:12 says That is why just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because thy had all sinned.
Eve was decived, Adam chose to sin and eat of the fruit.

Each and every person is in control of their own actions. Nothing in the bible does it state that she wrestled him to the ground and forced pieces of fruit in his mouth and hit him in the nose until he swallowed.
Nowhere in the bible does it state that Adam argued against taking the fruit.
Nowhere does it say he was tricked. He knew what he was doing.
They both screwed up and they both paid for it.
