There have been Plenty of People in history who for the most part might of been dirt poor, were not educated, did not do anything of great importance in life according to man, had disabilites but still felt a happiness in life and died peacefully knowing the love of GOD and Promises he had for them..

What about the Unbeliever?
Thomas Merton remarked that man is not at peace with his fellow man because he is not at peace with himself, and that he is restless with himself because he has no peace with God.
Pleasure-seekers throughout history have found over and over that the temporary diversions of life give way to a deeper despair. The nagging feeling that “something is wrong” is hard to shake off. King Solomon gave himself to a pursuit of all this world has to offer, and he recorded his findings in the book of Ecclesiastes.
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God”

All of the people who listed names so far are incorrect and need to google those people biographies.

The people who were truly content with life were so spiritually advanced that even if they don't use the name God (such as the far Eastern greats), they claimed at least some knowledge of an underlying force working in the universe.

Mao Tse-tung?... (wait gotta check)(yep, fulfilled) Karl Marx?... President GWBush?...

Edit: Ok Zeeky, and this goes for the asker as well, are there Christians totally fulfilled with life? Maybe Jesus? Maybe the other martyrs? Oh yes, they have found the light in the end, but this still does not make them *totally* fulfilled (I wouldn't call finding peace after a couple of hours being crucified upside down "total fulfilment"). Actually, the question was wrong from the very beginning.

Okay, so people named persons that denied the existence of God and were totally fulfilled with life (that statement makes no sense...what does "fulfilled with life" mean?)...they named many. So your question is answered...but I have a feeling you weren't really asking that question...you were just looking for a way to preach at everybody and be rude and patronizing. No one asked you for your advice about what they should believe. Didn't your mother ever tell you that un-asked for advice is rude?

That is why man created the idea of god. To give comfort.

If believing in god makes people so happy, I guess there is some truth to the phrase "ignorance is bliss"

Those who do not acknowledge the existence of God are the only ones totally fulfilled with life. Those who rely on a fantasy are never fulfilled of life.

If you want to quote bible scripture and pass it off as original thought, don't get offended when people tell you it's the same old shite.

"Even those who are destitute of the knowledge of God may be endued with many excellent and useful accomplishments, which may make them famous or serviceable to their generation. Common gifts are given to bad men, while God chooses to himself the foolish things in the world."-M.H.C.
