Ok. Yes the fee was reversed. But I also spoke with a creditor that said they would be taking the mark off of my record and that they would be sending me a letter of conformation that it is being removed from my credit record. I was wondering if anyone had experience with this before and how long it took for them to see that mark removed. Or if I am going to end up having to FAX that letter to the three credit reporting agencies.

If they said they will remove it, it will probably be removed on or before the next time the creditor updates the regular activity for your account.

Well, the credit card company reversing the charge doesnt mean it will come off of your credit report. You need to find out which credit agency it was reported to (experian, trans-union, or equifax), than contact that credit agency and tell them you want to "dispute" the report. They will then contact the credit card company and investigate. If the credit card company doesnt respond in a timely manner, they will take it off. Usually within 14 days you will have an answer whether they take it off or not. ****BE HONEST WHEN DISPUTING, I TOLD THEM ONCE I RAN INTO FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND IT ISNT A NORMAL THING AND THEY TOOK IT OFF WITH NO QUESTIONS ASKED******

go to to http://www.annualcreditreport.com and you can access a free credit report from each agency, but only once/per year!

GOOD LUCK

Hi!
I don't think it will. You got the fee forgivien..but..if it was reported as late...I doubt it will be changed..or can be changed. Again..I know that's not what you want to hear..but..it's the truth.
