We are the accidental products of unthinking natural processes, and therefore the meaning in life can be anything we want it to be. For myself, I didn't choose to exist, but now I'm here I want to enjoy life, bring up my kids well, leave the world a slightly better place than when I joined it, and die having no major regrets about what I have or haven't done in my life.

A philosophy professor stood before his class and had some
items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly he picked up a large empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, rocks about 2" in diameter. He then asked the students if the jar was full? They agreed that it was.
So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured
them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.
The students laughed. The professor picked up a box of sand
and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
"Now," said the professor, "I want you to recognise that this is your life.
The rocks are the important things - your family, your
partner, your health, your children - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job,
your house, your car. The sand is everything else. The small stuff."
"If you put the sand into the jar first, there is no room for the pebbles or the rocks. The same goes for your life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your
happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out dancing. There will always be time to go to work, clean the house, give a dinner party and fix the disposal."
"Take care of the rocks first - the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."
But then...
A student took the jar which the other students and
the professor agreed was full, and proceeded to pour in a glass of beer.
Of course the beer filled the remaining spaces within the jar making the jar truly full.
The moral of this tale is: that no matter how full your life is, there is always room for BEER.

Really not sure what God's plan for me is. I'm just trying to use the gifts that He's giving me to bring Him glory. I pray I know one day exactly what He put me here for!
I'm not sure about that, either. I understand what you mean. If everyone loved and followed Christ, we WOULD live in perfect harmony. However, that isn't the case, just like the Bible tells us. It's really sad. I guess all we can do is just follow Him and try to be a witness for Him in a world that is so dirty from sin.
Btw, thanks for loving the Lord. :) Not a lot of people do. You have something rare, and I pray you keep striving every day to please the only One who matters! God bless!

Life's meaning is not pre-determined and planned out; you are not a pawn in the games of the Gods, nor especially singled out to be an avatar or martyr. You must find your own destiny and meaning; you must create it. You have something -- life, the here-now, the present -- and must make the best out of it. You must answer why you are here.
In my opinion, I feel that the goal of life is simple. It is to thrive and be happy. None of us had a "choice" in whether or not we were born, but now that we are alive we have the power to either enjoy it or end it. If you find yourself in a situation, you should strive to make the best of it. Increase your happiness. Have fun with things. If you're going to be alive anyways, you might as well have a good time while you're at it.
So the purpose of life is to give life a purpose; the goal of life is to enjoy it.

I think the meaning of life is what you make of it. That's a very good question. What you do now is a result of the future. We as humans must make the best choices through out our lives and we must help people along the way. Life is a test that God created. If we do right things, we'll enter his Kingdom after we die...Hope this helps!

Life – it has a meaning and loving purpose - you just have to find your purpose and live it.
I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. I don't believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.
You need to decide now to live for God rather than for yourself. You spend your life on Earth preparing yourself (as best you can) for death. I don't see death as a scary, negative experience, but birth into a bliss filled eternal life with God. I believe that this is something you have to consciously choose or not during your life on earth.
The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are true children of an infinitely loving God, to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator, and to fulfill those responsibilities. Each of us is called to affirm, accept and develop the talents God has given us. -

Life in and of itself has no meaning. We give it meaning through our actions and reactions. The meaning of your life could change at any given time. My "purpose" is to love my family and respect those whose opinions differ from mine....peace.

I am going to make the rest of my life a mission to get religion out of our laws and our gevernment. I am disgusted by the ignorance and I won't be quiet any more.
