I believe the chemical is asparagusic acid. It is a metabolite (broken down piece) of asparagus. Yummy!

Everybody's urine smells after eating asparagus. I don't know what chemical in asparagus does it, but it is famous for making stinky urine.

That's a very interesting question, yet very gross too. Asparagus along with parsley and chlorella are natural heavy metal cleansers, maybe you're smelling the heavy metals being cleaned out of your body. That's a good thing in that case!

Its the "sulfur-containing amino acid" (namely methionine), which during digestion, breaks down and thus causes that funny smell.
