It usually takes around 10 days to get a refund deposited into a bank account. Every time I get an email notice from them giving me an approximate date to expect the deposit , and I have always received it on the date that they gave me!!! The state check I received quicker. The only check that I have had to wait for is an amendment refund, that takes at least 6-8 weeks. I always file asap so I am not getting them at their busiest time!!!

I usually get my Federal about 10 days to two weeks after my state. If you just filed recently though, they could be swamped. I usually file the first week of February. Did you get notification from your e-filer that your Federal taxes were accepted by the IRS? If so, you might have been given a tracking number or instructions on how to track the progress of your refund.

Direct deposit: If your return is accepted by the IRS by Thursday at 11 am eastern time, your refund should be deposited on Friday of the following week (8 days later) if no problems are found with your return.
You can check the status of your return at irs.gov - click on "where's my refund" on the left side of the start page. You'll have to enter your ss#, filing status, and the amount of your refund as shown on your return.

12-14 days for e-filing if there were no errors. You can call IRS (1800-829-1040) and they have a prompt and they will tell you when it was mailed you must have the amount too. Also, you can talk to an tax professional that will explain. If a professional did it they can answer your questions because you paid them for that service.

Here is the IRS efile chart so that you can check and see when you can expect them to be direct deposited-based on the day that you filed:
http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p2043.pdf
Also, have you checked the status of your refund on this page:
https://sa1.www4.irs.gov/irfof/lang/en/irfofgetstatus.jsp
After you put your info in, they should give you the date that you will receive your direct deposit. It took me 2 weeks from the time I efiled until the time I received my refund through direct deposit.

I filed my return on a million-14-2012, have been given accepted on a million-17-2012 at 3:05 i became meant to get dd on twenty 5th yet i did now no longer receive something. On wmr it says that I might desire to receive my refund by ability of the 31st until eventually finally theres processing postpone or you owe distinctive taxes. I contacted the IRS and became cautioned its despite if processing and that they have have been given 3 weeks to technique a return. The refund chart is purely an estimate, and it ought to prefer to be as much as 3 weeks from the attractiveness date. at contemporary ( a million-27-12) I checked wmr and my refund status has replaced to: my refund is scheduled for dd 31st. (thank you Jesus) Now i prefer it makes it there. i've got have been given now no longer heard something some postpone by using fact of EITC i understand incredibly some people who get EITC and overall performance gained there refund this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. there is matters of there new utility, maximum persons might desire to be certain a postpone of each week no longer greater effective then 2. in case you became going to receive a return on the 24th or twenty 5th you will prolly get your refund on the subsequent refund cycle. they are sending out refunds on tuesdays or Wednesday, exams could be mailed out on Fridays. IRS is purely sending refunds on weekly cycles in case you bypass over very final weeks you will possibly be able to desire to be on next weeks time table. until eventually finally your return maintains to be being processed then it ought to prefer to take 3 weeks. prefer it truly is smart..... sturdy success purely furnish it time by using fact is approximately all you're arranged to do.
