I know how to distinguish between liking and loving someone in a relationship. Its just that feeling, you know. The thing is how do you tell someone that feeling. Is there a period I should wait to tell her this because I don't want her to feel akward and be scared away. I really feel as if I love her, but I don't want her to go away. Would the best solution be to wait awhile before I say those infamous three words?

You have to be careful on this subject, but the best answer would be to go with your gut instinct. She either feels totally different, she's not worth it, she'll let you know how she feels and stick around, or she will say she loves you too. Be careful not to change the relationship after you tell her though. Make sure she's ready for the changes you expect when "like" turns to "love". Don't just assume she's ready for more. That's what chases girls away in a lot of cases. Make sure she knows what you want from her when you tell her you love her. And DO NOT try anything sexual...this is an automatic red light! She will believe you are telling her you love her to get into the "forbidden places". Sorry, I had a lack of a better way to say that. Anyway, good luck. Remember to take all advice carefully. Some people think they are experts when they wouldn't know love if they fell in it. Me...I'm just giving advice.

I think you should tell a girl that you love her when you realize that you love her. Love is not something that you have to wonder about. If you have to question that you love her then you probably don't, but if you do love her you could care less if anybody knows or cares. Tell her when you feel the moment is right and be sure to be sincere and look into her eyes. Good Luck...love is an awesome thing.

Ask her out on a date FIRST. I know, a bit out of order chronologically, but when you take her home, that's when to say it. Fit it into conversation, like "I had a really great time tonite, can we do this again because (insert reasons here) and I love you. I want to make this a lasting, meaningful relationship." She'll fall for you then and there.

Tell her There doesn't have to be a certain time or place. be
spontaneous . if she really cares about you she will not be scared away or feel awkward. She may be waiting for you to tell her how you feel before she tells you ..

ITS A TRAP!

Anyways, seriously, just make sure not to do it too soon. For as much as girls like to rag on guys for being "afraid of commitment" they are just as bad. I think it is a young people thing. Say it too soon and you'll scare her off. Wait just a bit longer than you think you should and you should be safe.
