No...recommended is 1 gig but still is not good enuff. 2 gig will be best

Vista requires 512 Ram to run, so if you intend to play minesweeper all day, you'l be ok. Otherwise, 1 gig at least to get anything done, even a word doc.

It will be enough if you
do not use wallpaper
no screensaver
when in a file, save it often with File, Save
scale down your startup menu - load only what you need daily
run Disk Cleanup, Scandisk, defrag regularly
delete cookies
delete offline files
clear history
set days to store pages in history to 0

you will get away with that for vista to run with out any problem try 1 or 2 gb of ram

That's just bear mininum....You really need at least 1 GB. Once you start installing more programs, you will definitely see the effects of the drain on RAM...

If you have the Home Basic, yes it is. If you have any other version, no.
