I collect movies, and since a bunch of us have it off, I was going to host a movie marathon at my house on Easter Sunday, since most of my friends are not Christian. I had originally decided on a Zombie movie marathon, but my wife said this might offend Christians if they heard about it.
Are any Christians offended by the thought of people watching zombies on easter?
Serious question, really guys.

This isn't like, 5 people, it's more like 50, and it would show up in blogs and stuff, so I really don't want to do something that will alienate people if they can trace it back to me. I sort of have to decide by tonight what the list is, though.
I just got a new transfer of Night of the Living Dead...wow. It's crisp. That's what started it all.

Sounds perfect. Jesus rose from the dead on Easter. Why not have others rising from the dead too? Sounds like fun.

No problem here. I love Zombie Movies and collect the 1950s sci-fi movies too (you know, the reeeeeeeeally bad ones). I might watch a few of those on Sunday afternoon since we're having the family Easter dinner on Saturday evening.
Modified to add: I don't know if it qualifies for your marathon, but I like The Last Man on Earth w/ Vincent Price. It was re-made into the Omega Man w/ Charleton Heston. They're more like vampires than zombies though.

trolling got the point :) rolling on floor laughing
no way the christian can be offended from the layer's point of view but it should not be mixed Easter and Zombie .. simply state that on 9 of april you are giving a zombie movie marathon, most americans are not celebrating ramadan after all. so if americans are not celebrating ramadan, you are not obliged to celebrate easter. and on a common day you can give any show you want..
btw my normal heart action is 35 beats per minute, so Zombie ruleZ /no joke:)/

No project right here. i like Zombie video clips and collect the Fifties sci-fi video clips too (you be attentive to, the reeeeeeeeally undesirable ones). i could watch a number of those on Sunday afternoon considering the fact that we are having the kinfolk Easter dinner on Saturday evening. changed to function: i don't be attentive to if it qualifies on your marathon, yet i like the final guy on the earth w/ Vincent fee. It replaced into re-made into the Omega guy w/ Charleton Heston. they're extra like vampires than zombies however.

I thought Easter was when Christians celebrate the day that the zombie of Jesus rose from the grave to feed on the flesh of the living, isn't it?
At any rate, why would Christians complain about an event that they aren't even invited to?

If Mel had seen fit to include the passage where the Saints crawl out of their graves after the Earthquake, you could have shown the Passion as part of your Marathon.

Go for it! And have fun!
If someone does complain, so what? Are you supposed to limit what you do because it 'might' offend someone who is probably takes offence to everything anyways?
And besides, what is the difference between eating brains and eating the body of christ?

I prefer to spend my Easter watching murder mystery movies involving a guy trying to find out who killed his twin brother and why.
