I have a video game installed on my PC, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion.
I'm trying to uninstall it, but every time I click on either unistall through the start menu or through Add or Remove Programs, I get a SetupDll.cpp error.
Now I can't uninstall this software, the only other option I can think of is to just delete all the files, but then the program would still exist in the registry and I'll still be able to see it in Add or Remove programs.
So what can I do?

It's a pirate copy.

Try re-installing the program, then uninstalling it.
If you still get the same error, you'll need to look for a setup log file to know where it has installed files so you can manually remove them.

For some software you need an uninstall program from the maker of the software.

just put the install disk in and reinstall it then uninstall it, installing it again over the original install will fix any corrupt files that are causing the error

Try reinstalling it and then deleting it. If you have a pirated copy you may be missing the uninstall code.
