I've been born again, since 1968, age of 6 years. The movie put a message I heard at a revival about 25 years ago in perspective. So good!!!

Yes I have seen it. A person can read about the beating he went through but it isn't very detailed.
The movie makers research the kind of weapons used for that reason and did an excellent job of portraying the events that resembled what really happened.

I forced myself to keep my eyes open during these scenes. So I could have a glimpse of his suffering. When the warden had them flip Christ over during the beating I cringed.

Putting a picture with the words has made Christ's sacrifice mean more. It makes the scripture by his stripes we are healed more meaningful. And makes healing a little easier to accept.
God Bless You. :)

Honestly? It didn't do anything for my faith. I already understood what Jesus went through for us and didn't need to see it on the big screen to feel its impact. The only thing it did was raise questions about how some people could deliberately physically hurt another person, especially to that extent, because of their beliefs. I was even more grateful for being an American citizen with religious freedoms.

May God Bless you.

I was already a saved when I saw it. I cried all the way through it. I think we need a reminder like that every now and then to see what He really gave up for us. Sometimes we just take our salvation for granted. This is the time of year when should especially be thinking of His sacrifice. Good question.

I actually liked the original "Jesus Christ Superstar" better. The Passion was good, but a little too melodramatic, and the satan kid creeped me out.

For me..It stirs up very negative and violent emotions toward the mocking and sadistic Roman Soldiers...and then I remember that He who bore the full brunt of God's righteous wrath, did so willingly and that I am as guilty as they. I am on the verge of tears as I type this.

It really brought the visual out of how Christ might have looked like when flogged.

Anytime I think of His death, I'm ill over the entire thing. Wow. What love God has for us.

that movie was amazing. It made my faith stronger because I realized the physical pain He actually had to go through. It makes you appreciate it that much more.

What, you mean that horrible, totally embellished 2.5 hour snuff film??

This isnt a Christian meeting hall, it is a question and answer forum. Sorry, but screw your wishes. Go to your church if you want a fellowship.
