I did the service on my friends 2006 Toyota Highlander but I don't know how to reset the maintenance required light. I know how to do it on a Honda but not on Toyota. Can anyone let me know? Thanks

TURN THE CAR ON AND MAKE SURE THAT THE MILES READ ON ODOMETER, NOT ON TRIP A OR B. TURN THE CAR OFF THEN HOLD DOWN THE ODOMETER BUTTON AND TURN THE CAR ON. RELEASE THE ODOMETER BUTTON AFTER LIKE 3 SECS. AND THEN THE GAUGE SHOULD START TO COUNT DOWN. THEN IT WILL BE CLEARED

The Toyota dealer, car repair shops, or auto parts store can cut the light off. Sometimes when you do not remedy why the light is on, the light may come back on after a short period of time. I believe car parts places like Auto Zone, Advance, O'Reily's, etc., will diagnose and turn the light off and not charge. I would call and ask first before taking car there. I'm not sure if there is a charge at Toyota or other auto shops.

The Odometer must be on the odometer reading not trip A or B.
Turn the car off, press the trip button and hold it while turning the car on. The numbers will turn into dashes and count down then all zeros. When the Odometer returns let go of the button.
Done
