Keeping in mind what you "think" about Christians, of course.

Moiraes- why do you continue to think that Christians interfere with other people's business? I am a believer and I NEVER discuss my beliefs until someone first asks me. Also, where does this "converting" nonsense come from? The only people who come to my door are the Jehovah Witnesses whom I have nothing in common with, and consider to be more of a cult religion with contradictory beliefs than anything else. If these are the people you claim are "forcing' their religion down your throat, don't answer the door. You pretty much know it's them by the way they dress.

African- why do you want to be so nasty to the pagans? What did they ever do to you? Not speaking for the pagans, they can speak for themselves, but I do believe (no pun intended) an apology is in order from you to the pagans.

YDoncha- I'm a believer and I have Christians telling me at least a few times a month that I'm going to hell for not "understanding" the Bible in the exact way they "think" I should. Go figure.

MR boffo-why do atheists keep "dumping" all so-called "christian" beliefs into one pile? Why do atheists daily commit the fallacies of Division and Neglected Aspect when lumping all so-called "valid" branches or off-shoots of Christianity? Besides, I've NEVER told any atheist they were going to hell as so many of you claim that ALL believers do this.

They tend to be harmless, sensitive, thoughtful people who quietly follow their own spiritual path while respecting other people's right to do the same. Many of them are honourable, moral people who do much good in the world.

There are many Christians who are the same, and I think that athiests feel much the same about them, too.

What you seem to think that athiests "think" about Christians is actually pretty much limited to a certain TYPE of Christian, not every single Christian out there.

The only reason an Atheist has a problem with Christians is that Christians keep trying to interfere with everyone elses lives, even if its just by knocking on peoples doors to peddle their religion like door to door salesman. Not a single Pagan religion does that.

For that reason, Atheists don't care one way or another about Pagan religions and are generally willing to be warm and learn from them, even if they don't agree with a word they're saying.

I think the Atheists have far more in common with the Pagans any day than with the Christians! The pagans celebrate the earth and the power of nature and self, while the Christians are exercising the power of FEAR and self righteousness, while the Atheists stand by and live normal happy lives, laughing at the rest of us idol worshipping funny bones!

The definition of "A-theist" is 'without a belief in a deity', whereas pagans simply worship(ped) a god with a different name than jesus - or maybe a whole bunch of 'em. Christians as a whole dump both beliefs (or non-beliefs) into one camp of anti-christ rhetoric, and some behave in decidedly un-christlike behavior. With that as an example of what christianity has to offer, I'd make my peace with Ba'el first.

I think they are nice as people overall, much like a few Christians Ive met, but I still feel the idea of Gods is a bit out there. But, at least Pagans dont threaten me with non-existent hellfire.

I'm not an Atheist. I'm a Freethinker/Agnostic/Humanist but I like the Pagans that I have met on this site. They don't harass me or try to get me to convert to their religion. They're cool with me. I've made friends with them.

I have to wonder which fairytale silverbirch thinks I follow...

Most I have encountered think of Pagans as mostly harmless. After all, Christians have caused and supported genocide. For the most part, paganism isn't really old enough to have done anything like that.

Less organized and limited numbers, therefore a negligible threat, and the Christians keep them down also.

As for their beliefs? Pretty much the same as yours, all magic and fairy tales. No distinction between fact and fiction.

I'm a pagan AND an atheist (AND a Taoist).

I like other pagans. Some of their rituals are a bit hooky for me, but whatever works for them is fine by me. Not my business.

I like them far more than Christians, as none has ever told me that I am going to hell or tried to 'save' me.
