Calling my allergist's office is not an option -- you can't actually speak to anyone and the email bounced back. I hate to make the trip if they'll send me away.

I have a sore throat and feel unwell.

I don't think you needa shot. Just go to the drug store for now and grab some cold or sinus medicine. Later on, get a prescription for a good allergy medicine and use it year round. That's what stopped my sinus infections & allergies that I'd get at least 3x a year. I use a nasal spray but there's also pills. Good luck! Hope u feel better!

the greater percentage of sore throat are viral which means they go away on their own and there is no medicine for them. If you are catching a cold, not feeling well (malaise), is expected, but again this is viral and it will go away on its own. You can do, lozenge, motrin, salt water gargles, fluids, lemon tea, honey. Treat the symptoms; that is all you can do.

As long as you're not running a fever go get it, the shot may make you feel better. Mine usually do.

That sounds like a cold, and an allergy shot won't help that!

If you know the name of the medication that you are given, then call a pharmacists or your primary care physician

Buy some Alka Seltzer and some Claratin-D at your local drug store. It is probably viral.

When I had allergy shots, they would not give you one if you had any fever at all.
