If he'd come up with them at the same time instead of 500 years later I may agree with you.

Of course this did not happen, so your question is silly. God bless at Holy Week

Oh, so Buddha said that he was the "Way, the Truth and the Life" and that the ONLY way to God was through him?
Sorry, Jesus's coming was foretold (along with His miracles) way before Buddha was even a thought.
Buddha was a good man, from what I've read of him, and his teachings are wonderful. However, the teachings attributed to Buddha were still not penned until FAR after most of the Bible. The first was the Theravada, which was penned sometime in the 3rd century B.C. The other, the Pali Canon, which was penned sometime in the last century B.C.

The only thing that Buddha and Jesus have in common is a message of love. That's what it all boils down to, really. And love is not exactly exclusive to Buddhism.

Funny thing you mention that... I have noticed before that Bibles have copyright notices in them.. the two I'm looking at right now (KJV) sez (C) Thomas Nelson with various dates from 1979 -1985.. How ODD! I guess that means everytime you pray.. you need to pay old Tom Nelson a royality?

Now I dont think I have to worry about the Jesus angle.. Jesus never wrote a book of the bible.. there is no book of Jesus.. never was... Now some other people might have to worry about copyright infringment if it had existed.. most notably Paul (Saul of Tarsus)

Another odd thing.. Dictionaries contain copyrights too.. which means I guess we are all in violation of Merrium Websters copyright every time we use a word...

(I wonder how much typing this is gonna cost me in court?)

Well Buddha's is still dead, he did not rise from the death. Jesus gave up his life and took it back up. Jesus rose from the dead, he conquered death. Buddha got ill and died, I am quite sure he may have a special place in hell.

Maybe, but Buddha wouldn't press charges.

No way. Buddha would've come down on him so hard that Jesus wouldn't have been able to be resurrected.

*wink* What if he sat down in his own version of meditation as a sweet, altruistic Jewish guy and came to, pretty much, the same conclusions as the Buddha had?

Food for thought my friend!
