I agree. People who don't believe make their cases and arguments go back and forth. That is just the way of things. But when someone finds themselves drawn to Christianity and then meets a Christian who preaches one thing and doe's the exact opposite all day long they are sent fleeing from the church.

I agree. Christians and/or imposter's(of which there are many) do more damage to the Christian faith than any one else in the world. The bible Say's an impostor will raise a temple in Jerusalem after he has performed "miracles" and call himself Christ. He will in fact be the anti Christ. His help will come from the imposter's who have for centuries now made up stories and put out movies to make people believe that when Christ returns he's going to do again what He's already done, which is come in the form of a human male. This is not so. Why would an All Powerful God do a do over? But when Jesus returns no one in the world will miss it and it will be undeniable that it is Christ who is returning! However, imposter's of the Christian faith have had way too much time to stain the reputation and direction of true Christianity for even Christians to really get that.

I think that that is true of those of every religion, not just Christians
the problem with Christianity though is that Christians are sooo vocal about stating that their way is the one true way that people who have spent their whole lives having to fend off the zealots then see the hypocrites and have that much more ammunition against them
but again, it's not just the Christains, this can be found in all religions, including my own and even among those that do not profess to any religion at all
There is all this hatred against Islam, which is actually a very beautiful religion, but it's reputation is being tarnished and destroyed by those that would act violently and would use terrorism in the name of it
in Judaism we have the concept of the chillul hashem
“Chillul Hashem” (pronounced KHIH-lool hah-SHEM) means “Desecration of G-d’s Name.” Colloquially, it refers to anything that gives G-d, Judaism, Torah/Mitzvot or Jews a bad name and a bad reputation"
http://www.askmoses.com/article.html?h=419&o=83
we are taught that we must do our best to not act in a way that will make other's reflect poorly on us

You are absolutely right. Christians are to be representative of Christ. The way most Christians act these day makes one not want to be Christian.
However, just like the rest of the human race, Christian are humans and not tiny gods. We are not perfect. So don't take it out on Christ.
And, this could be said for any religion. I know some pretty evil Buddhists and that's supposed to be a peaceful religion.

You specific suggested a mouthful, there! ;) i presumed-approximately even perhaps getting out my dictionary to seek for a pair of them words! Ha! I do understand what you say. here is what i think of: All walks of human existence is the two sturdy or undesirable. All races, intercourse, subculture, despite......everywhere you look you will discover sturdy or undesirable. Pagan, or no longer; there'll continuously be flaws. each physique is often griping related to the Christians judging the atheists. then you truly see the atheists are in turn judging the Christians...on and on it is going. it truly is a in no way ending circle. no one is harmless around here. i think of that if each guy or woman have been to easily "Be great", then there could be no issues. P.S....i think of basically God is Holy. i such as you! Cyndi :)

You said an eternity full. And there are a lot of people who choose not to follow after Christianity because they say we are hypocrites. And then there are those who come in to this and use grace for an excuse to sin. On judgment day there will be many who will be sent to hell because we will be judged for what we did or did not do for God . Just because someone prays the sinners prayer doesn't mean they are guaranteed eternal life in Heaven. No, the Word of God says to pick up your cross and follow Him. Your whole way of life, your thinking, your feelings, your actions all things change. In fact best get rid of your feelings and start finding out what you should know. Know that you know who your Heavenly Father is. God will not be mocked.
Gods' love to us is His truth. He does not work in deception.

Yeah, I agree in a way...it is the whole concept of "where much is given, much is required"...but no person can be "saved" in ignorance. Just because a person chooses to believe or not believe doesn't excuse them from any of their actions, thoughts, words or deeds. We will all be held accountable one day - Mormons, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, satanists, atheists, agnostics, believers, non-believers....
So,my question is what are WE doing to prepare and what can we do to help others prepare?
Good question though...

of course. I mean, an atheist for example, is more of a christian than a person who SAYS they r Christian, cos, well, they r not lying about themselves.
Christians get a very bad name through those "Christians" who r not really what they say they r....cos they do bad stuff and then others say "well, look, they say they r Christians, so all Christan's r like that!"
But then it is not only that, which gives Christians a bad name, its the gullibility of the others around them. They cant see through their masks and they actually believe it, when those ppl SAY they r Christians.....
....actions always speak louder than words...... not only when it comes to religion.

Agreed.
The basic teachings of Christianity are a far cry from the actions of far too many Christians - especially those with any power.

You are very right in that people who portray themselves as infallable and living as Christians, but go on to judge others without clear insight, can throw good-natured people wanting to know God off of that path.
Understand that as Christian or non-Christian, we all have our failings and have, at one time or another, turned away from our path, whether that be in the form of our deepest thoughts, our words, our actions, or in our attitudes.
Just because Jesus took away the burden of our sins in His resurrection does not mean we are able to sin without consequence. I believe (and I could be wrong) that we acknowledge that we turned away from God, ask for His grace to bring us back on His path, and step forward in confidence that our past sins have been forgotten, so that we can step back into His love once again.
