I think you should dress Business.. You need always to make a first impression...Because that could be your last... Always best to dress professional employers like that..If you are outgoing the kids aren't going to look at what you wear they are going to look at how you act.

Hi
I have a almost-2 year old, if I was interviewing a 14 year old to babysit her, I would expect jeans or pants and a T shirt ... something you would be likely to wear when you came to babysit. If you come in something too formal, you might not want to get down to play with the kids, so i would wonder how the kids are really going to interact with you on the actual babysitting day. Nothing too tight or low cut or racy or anything though. Don't show skin other than arms/neck ... i don't want to see belly or cleavage or bum on my babysitter....
Good luck! play with the kids on the interview, it'll make the kids feel comfortable, which will make ther parents more comfortable leaving their kids with you. oh, and be sure to turn off your cell phone or set it to vibrate, only answer it if it is your parents, and you might mention that to them (that you won't talk on the phone while babysitting unless a family member calls you).

wear jeans and a nice comfy shirt. Just be very polite to the parents and line out activities you will do w/ the kids, also try asking the parents their prefrences on what they want out of a babysitter. That might impress them.
As far as the kids, just be nice, but not fake nice (they can see right through it). Then when looking at them or in the room your in, refrence if there are pics of them doing sports etc. Ask them oh "sam" do you like soccer? That will open up a window with the parents and kids for respect.
Good luck!

Jeans and a decent shirt should do it. You don't want to seem "too good" to get on your knees and play with the kids, and they know you are a 14 year old. I wouldn't go with a t-shirt, but just a regular top (not dressy, just nice) make sure that your presence is nice. Clean hair, nails. I have three children and that's what I look for. But the main part is make sure the kids like you. If they do. . . you're in no matter what. Good luck!!!!

When I interview school age babysitters, I am not overly concerned with what they're wearing. Clothing style is a personal expression. I am more concerned with what kind of skills the person has (i.e.; infant CPR, Heimlich maneuver, etc.) and how they interact with my children.
So, dress how you feel comfortable; it will be easier if you sit on the floor to play with the child if you're wearing jeans, as opposed to something nicer.

Jeans and a Tshirt would be great so you can get down in the floor and play with the kids. I am a mother of 2 and I babysat for years, I think they would rather see you relaxed and having fun with the kids than to see you dressed up and afraid to get messy.

Don't go to overly dressed or you can make the children uncomfortable. Wear some comfortable jeans or kacki pants and a nice t-shirt or comfortable button up. If you're uncomfortable, it'll show so make sure to be comfortable.

I think a nice pair of jeans or pants, and a kid-friendly t-shirt should do it. If you happen to have any t-shirts with characters or images on them that kids would be fond of, you'll get bonus points that way.
But I mean, if it's a very stiff family, definitely nice clothes.

I would wear jeans and a tshirt so long as they were clean, not ripped and not too... revealing. If you are clean and appropriately dressed to babysit I think that would be fine (obviously, the tshirt you pick should be plain - or at least not containing anything potentially offensive...)

Jeans and a nice well fitting t-shirt sound good to me. After all you will be playing with these kids and jeans are easy to play in. Good luck!!
