I mean, does he really know the science or is he just good at hyping it up? Hitler was a good motivational speaker...

I mean does he really know the science? What are we supposed to do about it? In Canada our governmnet has bought into this thing and so they make TV ads saying we should do little things like take the bus.

if the United nations council on climate change and a thousand scientists are like crazed rock fans, yeah. If not, maybe you should try to figure out what they're trying to tell you. It's not just Al Gore.

Al Gore got Ds in science. Human induced Global warming is more of a belief system, i.e. religion. Hitler believed in Eugenics which was the fad of the day just like global warming is today. Eurgenics spawned his Arian superiority theories. Hitler took his Eugenics and tried to exterminate the jews, homosexuals, and "low lifes." Let's hope the current crop of religious zealots don't get too powerful. There have been too many nut cases with too much power.

I think that Al Gore is seriously concerned. I think that he is right to be.

As far as a new religion go's, sure some people take irrational approaches that don't really help their cause and may even set people off. There are a lot of nuts out there. I don't think that Al Gore himself is trying to lead a new religion or a cult but movements may spring up around him in the future. You never know.

A little off topic but I would like to speak about the accusations that he is being hypocritical considering his private home bills. Yes they are high per year for gas and electric. But we need to consider the following.

There are two bills involved here and we don't know how much work related activity is conducted out of his private home. Normally we take into account energy for work related efforts and I don't think that is being done here.

He pays more for green energy to help the environment every month. I don't know the exact mark up though.

No, I don't think it is crappy, nor new age, nor does it have anything to do with religion. Where do you get this stuff? Do you think that there wouldn't be a climate crisis if there were no Al Gore? He's just getting the word out about it, is all. Apparently he does a good job of it. I guess if one has their head up their butt the climate never seems to change. Pull it out and try to look at things objectively.

If u hold Gore responsible for what it is costing the poor people he should be hung. People are jacking prices up all over in response to that hype.

No it is not a religion, but I think our concerns for the environment should be second to the well fare of the people that take care of it. So many people put so much energy into the environment that I think they forget that there are ppl that are suffering out there that could benefit so much more than this hoopla about the 2 degree difference that affects us and animals gradually.

Global warming is real. That said we can not be sure if
CO2 is causing it. The fact that there are two schools of thought on the matter means that no one can be 100% sure. However the people who think it is not man-made all seem to be part funded by the oil commission.....

If Gore and the environmentalist kooks have their way, this will be the most expensive fad in history. The changes they will force on us ain't cheap and will not make much of difference to Mother Nature. I hope people are smart -- not lemmings.

The enviro-nuts even use religious terms: e.g. It's a moral question. Disagreeing is heresy. etc. Of course it's a religion.
