I'm going to a bar, and I've just turned 18, and I was wondering what are good drinks to order.
Something that tastes nice.
Looks quite nice.
Is a girlyish drink.
Will be served in most places (in the UK)
Not too boring or too outrageous or with a stupid name.

From the looks of your avatar: I would recommend "a red-headed-sl*t". I was a bartender (mixologist) for 2 decades.
Full shot of Crown Royal, 1/3 shot of peach schnapps, a good small shot of cranberry juice---and I like to give it a splash of 7-Up or Sprite soda. It is usually shaken and strained and in a shot glass---but you could also use a brandy snifter, martini glass with a cherry to make it look like a Cosmopolitan, or on the rocks in a high ball glass.

Be shocking! Take a shot of liquor to your head and chase it with water to cleanse your palate. Then calmly and with a hint of nonchalance sip a glass of wine. Otherwise, ask the bartender for a recommendation for the "in" drink of the day. Pubs = Ale As a side benefit: If it is a man you are looking for this would drive a lot of guys wild. Bold N Demure a combination no man can resist. This is a major reason American men love European women.

be careful ordering complex drinks, you don't want to make the bartender lose business because he's making your drink for 10 minutes.
my favorite drink is a candy cane shot, its really pretty, (layered red green and white!) and tastes great.
another great one is a buttered toffee. <---- is my favorite
don't do apple martinis, they still taste like vodka strongly!

If you like coconut, get a pina colada. I drink them sometimes, because they're delicious, and I'm a big guy who can drink anything.
