I think you should have your dog neutered. I know this guy who refuses to neuter his male dog Sam. Sam is a 10 year old virgin. He is miserable. I recently adopted a 1 year old spayed female. She is SPAYED, but the dog still went crazy, trying as hard as he could to mate with her. His legs even started shaking. This poor dog has all this pent up frustration, and he can't do anything about it. It would be kinder to him to have him neutered. That will reduce the behavior, and also relieve that frustration. He may still hump, but it would be due to dominance, rather than as a sexual thing. I would suggest setting up an appointment at your vet to have him neutered. Good Luck.

I had a dog that was a leg humper and i got his butt neutered. That pretty much fixed it. Dogs also hump as a sign of dominance over other dogs.

I don't think there is any gratifucation for your dog,, Just natural instinct for your dog to hump . I believe the only way to solve this problem is to have him netured.. Unless your going to use him for breading .
