Stay as far away from diets as you can. I used to be a personal trainer and work in a gym and we learned terrible things about diets. Staged diets are horrible for you! They work while you are on them and then you gain weight as soon as you stop them. This is because you train your body to need the diet. You can loose weight faster and more effective if you just eat right and exercise. Here's a quick daily lay out
Breakfast:
1/2 cup of cereal (grapenuts, special K, regular cherios) Things that have very little or not sugar
1/2 cup of non fat milk (if you can't do that go no higher than 1%)
Piece of fruit or class of juice (100% juice very low sugar)
or
1/2 a grapefruit, W/ 1 slice of whole wheat toast with peanut butter on it. Glass of skim or 1% milk
or
2 egg whites, 1 slice of whole wheat toast and a glass of skim or 1% milk.
2 Hrs later have a snack here are some examples:
1 fat free yogurt
1 orange
1 granola bar (watch the sugar)
1 neutralizing bar (again sugar.)
2 Hrs Later have lunch (drink a bottle of water first)
1 can of Tuna or chicken canned in water (no mayo!! I use mustard)
Piece of fruit
Glass of Milk
1 Serving of Melba toast (dried bread discs) w/ peanut butter or sugar free jelly.
or
1 cup of diced chicken or canned ham in water
small salad with fat free dressing ( no croutons)
Glass of milk
or
1 Whole wheat tortilla
black beans
1 cup diced chicken
cheese ( try low fat)
Glass of milk
* Make yourself a taco . . the beans are good carbs and high in protein.
2 Hrs. Later a sugar free snack (bottle of water)
1 sugar free chocolate/vanilla pudding
2 sugar free cookies (snack wells makes a killer devils food cookie)
1 fudge Popsicle (sugar free)
2 Hrs later fruit or veggie snack (bottle of water)
2 full sticks of Celery w/ peanut butter (if you don't put peanut butter on it, don't bother with it . . celery really doesn't do anything for you its just a filler and peanut butter is protein.)
1/2 cup of almonds (non salted smoked is okay)
1 orange
1 apple
6 or 7 p.m Dinner (Bottle of water)
stay away from potato's and noodles here
If you like mashed potato's try mashed cauliflower
Stir fry w/beef or chicken and brown rice.
Baked or broiled chicken breast
(no bigger than the size of your palm)
salad with non fat dressing (try to stay away from ranch)
Glass of milk
Palm sized steak
1/2 cup of mashed cauliflower (or potato's if you must)
(no gravy or butter on your potato's!)
Veggies and a glass of milk
Bed of baby raw spinach, with 6 or 7 grilled shrimp spiced to your liking. . diced almonds, 2 Tbs. of bacon bits, and (my favorite) fat free zesty Italian dressing (Kraft.)
Basically stick to good protein no sugar and lots of water, water before every meal is important because it makes your body think you are fuller than you really are. (just a hint.) Good luck, add this with a good amount of exercise . . . minimum of 45 minutes of high cardio 4-5 days a week and you'll be shedding Lbs. in no time. PLUS you'll be keeping them off, along with making your body more healthy and not hurting it. Good luck, and try to stay as far away from diets as you can. Just eat good

Maybe. They say you can lose 2 pounds a week max in a healthy way. That's 8 pounds a month x 5 months = 40 pounds max. Shoot for that, and then drop the extra 10 during the next month and a half.
There's no need to only eat raw food. Calories are what determine your weight, not whether or not food is raw or cooked.

Yes, it is, you don't even have to eat raw food. HOWEVER, chances are good you'll plateau at some point in there, so you're probably more likely to lose between 20 and 30 on a really strict regimen.

that's exactly the ideal amount of weight to lose in that span of time. in a week, it's healthy to lose only up until 2.5 lbs. so that's the way to go, not any slower or faster! :) goodluck!
oh, and raw food + exercise = health buff. i just hope raw food doesn't include raw red meat.

Yes it is, but as quickly as you lost it, it may be hard to keep it off. Especially if you go back to your old ways of eating once you lose the weight.
