With my first child I didnt' realy bond during pregnancy. It didnt' feel like 'my role' even though I always wanted to be a mom. I am VERY marternal and loved my child dearly, but it didn't seem like I was really a mom. It would hit me every now and then... WOW, I am a mom!! until she was 4.. Finally it felt real and like THIS is my life and I love it. now I am having my second. Will it seem more real faster? Both pregnancies were unexpected, which is ok.. .but I want to feel it more this time.

Your experience at the time of delivery is very important to the bonding process. If the child, still gooey!, is laid in your arms right away, you are more likely to fall instantly in love than if he's whisked off to a nursery before you even get a chance to hold him.
You'll have more fun this time because you won't be analyzing yourself to see if you're doing a good job. You're an old hand now, so enjoy.

odds are yes. you will feel maternal faster. the first one was such a new experience and you were probably a little scared or taken back ay the enormity of the whole thing. relax- it will just come naturaly this time. just make sure not to forget about the first one. don't let her get lost in the excitement of the new baby. congratulations.

i think you will. it sounds like with your first child you werent really ready, and dident want to except that you had this great and wonderful responsibility, that you now had to uphold. connections are sometimes made through time, and acceptence of a situation in your case your child. i think you will do fine with your second child i wouldent worry so much.
