Are there big non profit organizations in Arkansas or Texas???i only know about Heifer, are there other???

There are a ton of them. Hospitals, museums, and the universities all raise a lot of money. All of the big charities also have local offices all over Arkansas and Texas. You can look up on www.guidestar.org and see what charities are there.

For Texas, of the top 400 largest charities in the country, 23 were in Texas at one time. That includes the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in Dallas, Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Houston Food Bank. In Arkansas, the Clinton Library is a top fundraiser with a budget of $58 million; and the Bush Libary in Texas will raise a lot of money, too.
