Just be yourself, in all honesty you shouldn't worry so much about them. When school is over they will get a rude awakening about how life really is and they won't be as popular as they think they are. Do your own thing and ignore them, they won't like that if you ignor them. Make yourself look more intelligent by moving on and focusing on other things. They won't know what hit them. Don't let people like that get to you, right now they don't know any better. You can be better than standing out against them, be you and evolve into a wonderful person. That is what will really matter. Have fun, enjoy life without worrying about them. This is the best time of your life. Enjoy it now!

Don't even try...be yourself. When I was in school I never let the popular thing get to me and I had plenty of friends and had a lot of fun. You'll just waste your time and miss out on things because you will be so busy worrying about popularity.

Also, the girls that were real popular in school are not so popular now.

You mean the snobby-nose-in-the-air girls who think they are Gods gift to everyone?

Had to deal with them in high school but I stood out pretty well against them. For one I'm different. I'm tall with BRIGHT red hair, my nickname was Clifford, lol, I was the smart one but I also hung with some people that even the popular girls like because they were "cool". I didn't and still dont get along with girls very well but I had a steady boyfriend and I just fit in better with the guys, My best friends (guys) were really into the cars and dirt bikes and water sports stuff and everyone loved them (even the snobby girls tried to latch on to them) but they always had time for me and that pissed the other girls off. Just be yourself stand out on your own that was my way and it worked for me all the time i was in school.

If you want to stand out against the popular girls, ignore them. Behave as if they do not exist. You have qualities that stand out and I bet you can begin to make new friends by ostracizing them

Well, it all depends on how these "popular" girls are treating you. If they are mean, dont even bother with them, act superior and be the better peson by NOT talking about them bad to everyone else. People will take notice in your behavior and either admire you, or better yet fallow your lead. And if these popular girls are not mean to you just don't take notice of you, try asking them questions and starting conversations. But don't always go for the popular crowd, they're not always the best people to hang out with, and trust me, their not allways that fun either.

What makes you think that these girls are actually "popular"? Isn't it just all of our minds that make us think they're better than ourselves? Don't let yourself think you're not as good as them, or anything like that. Stay away from them in general, if they're not nice people. Popularity isn't everything that counts in a person, it's the values and personality of a person. Don't let popular girls get to your head, and just remember you're as good as any of them.

Know that you're a unique individual and that you don't need the approval of your peers to be a great person. Find activities you like and that you excel at. Also most of the girls at my school who were popular in jr. high and high school hit their peak back then. After that they all got either fat, ugly, pregnant, or became incredible losers. So don't worry about it, popularity in high school isn't everything.

Why would you want too? Just be true to yourself. Popularity fades. Once school is over it does not matter if you were part of the popular crowd or not. Just be yourself.

Rise above all their superficial BS, fashion contests, gossiping, bullying, & ALL folowing the exact same fads at the same time & BE YOURSELF! Be different from the rest of the mindless atomitons! Go against the norm & be anti-conformist! Look for unique things that you truly enjoy & revel in them.
