I can't figure out whether I am allergic to honey. I don't have any swelling of lips or any rashes due to it, however I get an instant head ache just from the smell of honey. I feel nauseous immediately. This morning I had some honey just to try it and now (about 2 hours or so later) i have a major head ache and feel pretty weak. Am i allergic to it? what is going on??

It sounds like you are allergic. You will also have to watch the labels on breads, cereals, and granola bars. All these foods can contain honey. I am allergic to honey also. I found, personally, I can eat a food if it contains more salt than honey. (Salt will be listed before honey on the list of ingredients.) That is a small enough amount that I can get by with it without it bothering me.

Oh dear.

It is possible to be allergic to honey, considering how it is made from pollen.

Did you notice anything off about the taste of the honey? I heard some time ago that some honeys are not used because the pollen is from toxic plants.
