not fat or obese but a LITTLE bit overweight, is working out vigurously for 2 hours at the gym ok? will you loose weight faster?

Working out regularly will boost your metabolism and you will lose weight faster. Any activity will burn calories and help you lose weight.

If you are in good enough shape (and it sounds like you are) working out 2 hours is great. I would have to build up my stamina to be able to work out for that long.

You should take it slow at first, especially if you are just starting. They show that the best way to lose weight is a combo of vigorous cardio and resistance training. Why not vigorous for an hour because it has been shown that you burn carbohydrates and fat in this ratio
1st 20 mins 80:20 carbs:fat
20-40 mins 50:50
40-60 mins + 20:80
So it is a matter of duration, not vigor.
Increasing muscle through resistance training will raise your metabolism as well. Good luck.

With a healthy diet, and exercise, you'll lose the weight. You only want to lose 2 lbs a week max, but most average about a lb a week.

You dont need 2 hours at the gym to lose weight, and remember, the more you workout, the more calories your body needs.

Thats not good for your body, you will overwhelm and possibly injure yourself. IF you want to lose like 5-10 pounds you can do that in like a couple weeks. Just do about 30-45 minutse of cardio 3-5 times a week

It will help, but also making a small change to your diet will make a big difference, not only in loosing wheight but on how you feel.
little changes like not eating past 6pm or at least 4 hrs. before you go to bed and drinking 12 oz. of distilled water in the morning before you eat anything.

take it slow at first unless you are use to working out walking really is 1 of the best way to lose weight and eating right ofcourse my sister-in-law lost 150 pounds by walking eating right and doing routine workouts at home it took about a year but she has kept it off and she is up to walking 10 miles a day now

Vigourous for 2 hours is not a good idea. 45 min though is great!

No not really working out for two hours seems like you are going to overtrain. 45min to an hour is all you need.
