due to a "lack of proof" then why do you believe in God?

Rick, that link didn't work.

Steve, the same is easily said for evolution. Open your eyes to the evidence.

The only way any "God" could possibly communicate with human beings is through science. Faith is nothing more than a way of ignoring the truth and accepting lies. If "God" is real, "his" truth is absolutely in science.

Because evolution and God are different realms entirely. While the metaphysical properties of God cannot be grasped by science (which is not a downfall, only a limitation), evolution can. For this reason, it is more acceptable to accept the existence of God on faith than evolution on faith. Faith is the language of the heavens. That being said, this is a rather silly question because there is not a "lack of proof" for evolution in the first place- there is no reason to rely on faith when there are mountains of evidence from many different fields of study that prove it. Evolution is not a scientific debate, it is a political one- scientists have already had their minds made up for years. In the case of evolution vs. creation(ism?), evidence misses the point.

Because there is no lack of proof of God to those who diligently seek Him. I find proof everyday, even in the insistance of his non-existance by those who don't believe in Him. He said it'd happen, so every time it does, I believe Him more, and more, and more. What better evidence do I need than the fact that His word comes true more and more every single day? Lack of proof?? My god, man! Open your eyes!!!

Good question...I'm beginning to think this debate is useless...We operate on evidence, proof, reasoning and "they" function with feelings, intuition, and hope...

Keep up the good fight!

An 2000 year-old book is their proof. But science books are of the devil.

Oh well.

I believe God created.
Yet, I can still believe he created things to evolve.

There are these dead animals. And they are dead and considered extinct. Now we are to presume that they continued in another form? Go ahead. I don't see it as necessary.
