I went to Mexico last November and I froze my butt off.

Well not really, but it certainly wasn't hot! I believe I wore jeans and shirt during the day, but ended up having to put on a light jacket as it turned about 3-ish. My bathing suit was left untouched during the whole cruise. What I do remember, though, is how cold the ship was! I couldn't wear strapless gowns without a shawl and there was a day on the ship when I wore a sweatshirt and jeans. Brrr!

So my advice is, bring jeans and a sweatshirt/sweater or two, or a jacket but bring ONE pair of shorts just in case.

I took a cruise in January and it was definitely warm. The Caribbean is virtually the same temperature all year long. You should look up the average temperature of whereever you are going (as you didn't say where in Mexico). However, the pacific ocean is a lot colder than the caribbean, so if you are along the baja the water will be a good deal cooler.

It all depends though. The weather can be quite different. I would pack a pair of jeans and a thin sweater just in case it is cooler. When I was in the Bahamas in January it was quite chilly and I did wear jeans and my sweater. But the other islands were the same temperature they've been in summer on my other cruises.
