Dear Auther,
I think the only way that any of the people you named are more real then another, are in your belief. It's how you are raised, where you are raised, and who you were raised by. Many people believe that they all existed. That they all were who they say.
I can give you examples of how the bible has been changed to fit the needs of the times. If you ever want to do some research on King James, It would explain alot of things to you. He changed the fabric of the bible, by taking out some things, and changing some translations from the other versions of the bible. If you think about this, then you might know that some words don't translate well from one language or another.
I am also sure that the other holy scrips have went through some changes in the time that they were written. If you ever have played the telephone game, this is a great example of how far things can be changed from the origins.
One of the sites that i direct people to is http://www.religioustolerance.org/ . The reason for this is that it treats all religions with respect. It doesn't say your evil, because you believe something else. My mother is a Spiritual Minister, so i am around people of all faiths. Why can't everyone be right? Why can't jesus be the son of the Christian god, and Muhammad, buddah, ect all be right.
Good luck.

Its just that the Roman empire did exist and they did keep records and a Prophet like the Christian Jesus did exist and was crucified in the the same general way and time frame as the bible describes. This does not prove if he was the son of God or that he was a miracle worker in the eyes of historians or non-Christians, it just proves that a prophet and many of these biblical events did take place in Rome. It is up to religious people to have faith that he was the son of God and that he died willing for our sins.
Crucifixion was used by the Romans until about AD 313, when Christianity was legalized in the Roman Empire and soon became the official state religion. Thus the reason why it is called Roman Catholic.
The christian religion is the only one that is young enough to have an valid historical verification, or proof that the basis for its beginning are at least valid.

It's not more valid, calm down : )
One thing I can say though, is that the difference between Jesus and say, "some pagan god" is that Jesus is documented in history as definitely existing on Earth. So whether you believe He (and I capitalize that out of respect) is the son of God or not, he did exist, whereas a pagan god shows no evidence whatsoever of actually existing.
I'm not sure about all these things myself, but one thing that interests me was that at the time Jesus died, most of His followers were just completely gloomy and downcast. However, during the period that He is said to have ressurrected (sp?), there was also a complete resurgence of belief, faith, and excitement in His disciples. Some wonder, that if Jesus had "stayed dead" if His followers would have been able to bounce back this way all of sudden. What led them to suddenly regain that passion? Did what Jesus told them would come to pass, actually come to pass?

I'm not sure what you're trying to say. Are you saying that no religion is valid? Then your question is for all to answer. If you are saying that Christianity, in particular, is invalid, while other religions are valid, then where is your proof of this difference? If you are saying that Christians believe as a matter of faith, then you are agreeing with Christians. If you are saying that there is no proof that it is valid, then do your own homework - research the evidence that has been documented and prove that it is invalid. If you're asking this question, you must be aware of such evidence; otherwise, your question has no basis in reality.

As long as you're on Earth and living in your physical body, you can't ever really KNOW who or what is REAL. You have to believe. Some people chose to believe in Jesus or God and some Buddha and some whatever the Hindu god is. But whatever. You know, everyone believes that thier god is THE god. And we'll never truly know until we die. There may not even BE a god. But we can't know that for sure. I believe that there IS a god, and my god is Jesus Christ and His Father and the Holy Ghost. But, we can't ever really KNOW. We just have to BELIEVE.

Jesus, Budda, etc. etc. etc. These are just the ones who were more famous. There are lots of others who chose not to be so famous. These beings realized their Christ-hood, buddahood. These men all had other names before they were enlightened. They made valiant attempts to teach and show others how they achieved their enlightened states of consciousness. Unfortunately, ego driven men twisted and contorted their teachings and turned them into a real blasphemy. None are better or more right than the others. All ways lead to the truth eventually. Your truth is your truth. Everyone has their own truth.. Validity is relative to the observer who is observing.

I can't give you any reasoning outside of God's Word. I will tell you that because of Adam and Eve's disobedience, we are all born with the sin nature. We are all sinners. All of us can be homosexuals, murders, fornicators, thieves, adulterers or liars. Probably even more than one of these. We all sin which is the reason that we all are born separated from God and do the things that He has told us not to do..
Jesus came to the earth for the purpose of becoming the blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins. Those of us who will choose Him as our Lord and Savior and repent (which means to turn away from sin), will be given the free gift of eternal life with God.
God doesn't want anyone to be lost. That is why even though we are born sinners, He has provided Jesus for us to take the place of punishment for our sins. Not choosing Jesus is the only way that we remain separated from God.
Coming to Jesus for love, leadership and forgiveness is the way to go to Heaven. The only way.

Give the evidence from the other books. I'll put the prophecy that was given 900 years before Christ up against any other prophecy given by the followers of any other deity that even comes close to the accuracy that is given in the Bible. I guess you could make something up and say it's real but even the Dead sea scrolls show that this was given by King David 900 years before Christ.
Psalms 22:12-18
Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.
I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
Pretty detailed isn't? Well that is some of the evidence for Jesus being who the Bible says He is... Jim

The rest are false religions, only Jesus changed the course of history, from BC to AD and saved your soul. Did these others die on a cross to save you from Hell? I think not. I know the Bible is right, so end of discussion. The other "books" you quoted are false doctrines.

It is not more valid. In fact it is less so.
Belief in Jesus relies on the faulty assumption that this Yahweh character exists.
Jesus' deity is dependent on God.
You would be better off just believing in God and not this Jesus fellow. Any other religion that doesn't have this problem is more valid than Chrisitanity.
