God rules hell; and he has commissioned Satan, Jesus' half-cousin to administer it.

I've never heard this. God the ruler of hell? I would think that Hell is Satan's home. God has control over all things. God allows Satan certain things but I wouldn't say that God controls Hell.

Let me tell you a short story, and YOU decide.
A man is taken by an Angel to a room. Here, the long, long, table is set with really great food..........food anyone/everyone loves........................at the table sit many people. All the people have extremely long forks. The people at the table are trying to eat, but, they cannot..........because they must use his/her fork to get the food and to put it into a mouth. The fork handles are SO long that the people are STARVING, because they cannot GET that long, long fork they have, to reach their mouths. This is a horrible place to be! This is HELL.
Next, the Angel takes this person to another room. The same type table is there. The food is the same, here. People are sitting around this table full of wonderful foods, and they ALL have the same type fork that was in the other room!
The people are each feeding their neighbor with that LONG, LONG fork, everyone is laughing and happy. This is Heaven.
Church tells me that Hell is the absence of God in our lives. Think about that, really. How different would life be, if no one had any God, by any name, and had no faith at all? That would be hell for me. The ABSENCE of God is HELL>

There is NO ruler of hell. The Biblical hell is merely mankind's common grave ... complete cessation of all life.

God supposedly created hell and will throw you in there if you don't believe in him for any reason whatsoever (including never having heard of him) so I suppose he is the ruler of hell.
Of course, that is all assuming that god and Hell actually exist.

Satan is not the ruler of hell. Hell was designed for Satan and his cohorts. From Matthew 25:41: Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.
Saying that Satan rules hell is kind of like saying that a prisoner runs the jail.

Yes; He created the devil - someday all of Hell will be
destroyed. The devil disobeyed God - hey, do you people
think it will be "cool" to be eternally tormented in Hell?
(until God destroys it.) It doesn't sound like a fun time to me.
