An individual (you know who you are) just gave me this answer about answering questions about their faith...
"I get tired of answering questions regarding my faith. I'm just tired of it and didn't care to answer yours either. Plain and simple. No matter what we answer, your not going to believe and your going to turn around and ask yet another question that questions my beliefs. Leave it alone already. Believe or don't. It's up to you :)"
Here is my rebuttal question...
I thought the entire point of asking questions, especially on a forum like this, was to get Answers in order to Learn. Am I wrong?
If I am right, and more Christians start to take this "I'm tired of asking questions about my faith" attitude, doesn't that negate the point of ministry and spreading the Truth?
What would have happened if Jesus had just decided to go, "You know what, I am tired of all these Questions about what I believe in, I'm no longer going to answer any of those that queston my faith!" ???

Reply to Sèimerthyr:: On the contrary... I actually read every single answer I get when I ask a question, and I take them all in and think about each one. It is only when I catch a something with my mind's-eye that I feel needs questioning, that will prompt me to question. Today I just happened to have a few things do that within the matter of a few moments.

I understand and appreciate your view of me, but what you must understand is that I will not deny that I am an aggresive person with my views.
Sure I will post a "Question" on here that pretty much as been answered, but it is not that I am trying to state that my answer is THE answer, but rather just trying to ignite thoughts within others.
I am here to try and open people's minds. And I don't mean that I am trying to open their minds just to MY way of thinking, but rather just to show people that there are multiple ways of seeing the same Truth.
And all I am truly looking for on here is thoughts and opinions on the subjects I "ask"about, no matter what those thoughts and opinions are.
Sure, some of them I will disagree with, and some I will agree with, but thats natural for everyone. I just like to see others stick up for their beliefs and to be able to do it genuinely.
;-)

1) You're right, I didn't have to point out your answer, but neither did you need to point it out as your own either.
2) I am a Spiritual Christian, studying Gnosticism, who likes to analyze everything on a deep inner level. My questions are, as I said above, to ignite thoughts within others to show that there are many different ways to view the paradoxical Truths held within the Scriptures. I have no intention to put down any religion, but rather, to understand all religion. And, part of the way I do that is by understanding the views of others. I then take any knowledge I get on the outside, relate it to the inside, and see what feels right within me.
3) While I understand that some ARE probably hear to poke fun of others' beliefs, I tend to try and ask questions that are out of the norm. Sure, they may have been asked before (as all questions really have), I know that most of my questions are not of the standard of the "poke fun" type.
God Bless

someone who would say that who is truly a Christian, needs to just step away and find another ministry rather than 'answering' questions... which they don't wanna do anyway!
that statement is really rediculous .... and you are right... if Christians stopped sharing... they have stopped doing what Jesus calls us to do ... sharing the truth and bringing the Good News to the whole world.
very good question/comments.... you are dead on and i agree with you wholeheartedly

Well that is the wrong way to answer your question yes, However why are you asking the question, are you trying to be antagonistic or are you truly seeking information? If you are trying to be antagonistic and you are succeeding at pi**ing people off what is the problem. If you are truly seeking information I would suggest going to a local Christian Church and sitting down with someone face to face and asking your questions.
For 2 reasons, One the person your talking to will more than likely be a Christian, and 2 there is a whole lot more opportunity for some real interactionbetween the 2 of you.

Ok, that was me~gosh, did you have to point me out like that? Anyway-I just stated how I felt. I am a Christian, but I'm not perfect. I never said I wanted to stop sharing my faith forever. I just get tired of the same ole' questions over and over and over again. If someone came up to me and asked about my faith and was really interested, not trying to look for some reason to put it down, I would be happy to sit and share. I see that most questions on here asked about Christians are not asked by Christians-they are usually asked only to find a flaw and poke fun of our belief. You are not trying to "learn", you are looking to nit pick the religion.

You are right.
If a person is tired of answering questions in regards to their faith then they need to stop using R & S on Y!A.
Plus, I think part of our comission to go and teach is to be willing to answer questions. Yet we can't possibly answer all the questions. We have to be good stewards of our time and knowledge.
I tend not to waste my time on answering questions, that are really someone making a point disguised as a question. Which happens a lot on here. Though sometimes I do make comments or such if the question/point is well thought out.

We are to be always ready to give an answer for the belief we have.
But we are also advised to not simply spout off our beliefs to an audience that doesn't care to hear them.
The public forum presented by Yahoo Answers may not be the best for point and counterpoint explorations of faith unless both sides agree that they will indeed think about the answers coming from others.
The timing of your questions indicates that you are not really reading many of the answers before you launch another question.

Sounds like the person who gave you that answer shouldn't have answered at all. If said person anticipated that you would ask a question about said person's answer then, wouldn't it stand to reason that had said person not answered, you wouldn't be able to ask a question about their answer?
FYI: In case you didn't know, Jesus did give up, He said He was tired and didn't want to answer anymore questions, didn't want to be bothered by multitudes and He didn't even want to talk with His disciples. That's why He wandered in the desert for forty days. After which, He missed everyone and was glad to be back.

Your right, people shouldn't act like that. But in our defence, it sorta bogs you down hearing all the crap that comes out of some of these people.
Like Jesus said, "I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!" Luke 12:49
And before people flip out, he doesn't mean burn everyone alive. Hardly anyone here believes in Christianity so we are trying to start a fire with wet wood. It's just depressing.

Christians are called to evangelize. It can be frustrating when it seems like you are answering & answering and getting no where, but this person did not answer with charity and humbleness. Being able to answer questions and share faith is a special gift. Not everyone has it. But I do think it's important to do your best.

I know that Jesus did give up on some people because they would not to listen to Him.
Please understand that Christians on this site are human and what this person probably meant is that they felt that what they were trying to say is useless to those who won't listen.
I do understand, but what about those who are on the site who do start to understand? We must not give up. We must continue to share Jesus and let Him do the saving. Blessings.

Very good point. However there are some people that wont listen no matter what you say. But we shouldn't judge, we should just answer the best we can; you never know if your answer will change someones life.
