There is nothing wrong or immoral about defending your God, your family, your Country or yourself.

I think you are confused. The ten commandments say "Thou shalt not kill" and pro-life means that we do NOT support abortion (which I think is murder). So thou shalt not kill thine unborn child.

Supporting the war is a different thing entirely. I support our troops, I want them to come home safe and I applaud them for their service to our country and to these countries who are fighting for their freedom from tyranny, oppression, and fear. Many times in the bible God sent His people to war against other nations who had sinned against Him. Each individual person who is involved in this war is not responsible for the deaths that occur while he is fighting. If the cause is not just, the people responsible for the war will be held accountable for those deaths. The individuals in war are only responsible for how the conduct themselves. Killing unarmed women and children, raping, and pillaging, killing with hate or out of vengeance is not behaving in an appropriate manner and individuals who do this will be responsible for their own behavior.

Well, we have had wars ever since Cain killed Abel. We will probably never see a time when there is total peace. I suppose someone who is pro-life sees abortion as murder and killing in war as self defense. But killing in war could be considered murder if it is an illegal war. But that would have to be determined by someone a lot smarter than I am.

The Bible talks against the shedding of "innocent blood". War is not considered innocent blood. God has used wars since Old Testament times to punish the evil nations, and the New Testament says the nations of the world will be punished by God through wars until the end of the age. Nations will be judged by God according to how they have treated Israel. Russia and it's allies will even march against Israel in the last days and God will destroy them. The Bible says that they will attempt to turn back, but God will put a "hook in their jaw" and make them march against Israel just so He can destroy them for their evilness. You need to read all of the Bible, not just the feel good parts.

How can a person be anti death penalty, anti war, pro animal rights and still think abortion is OK?

For the record, I personally am pro life and do NOT support the war, (or the death penalty, or animal cruelty). But I'm Canadian so I don't have as much vested interest in it.

Oh, didn't you know? It's okay to murder your enemies. Must be nice to pick and choose.

A murder is still a murder if you're murdering a murderer.
