headaches are not normal, like most doctors would like you to believe. Usually is because some nutrient deficiency in your body. Most of the medication won't work or take too long to make the headache go away. Every since I started to eating Organic, I haven't had a headache. What works really well is Dr. Schulze's Nerve Formulae. its only $28. you add a few drops in 2 to 3 ounces of water and drink it. Just with the smell of it will make your headache go away. It's made of organic wild harvested herbs and you can find at herbdoc.com

Most pain killers are only anti inflammatory, if there is no inflammation then they will most likely not work.
Headaches frequently come from muscles in the neck and shoulder containing tight bands known as trigger points.
A good masseur should be able to release those tight muscles and stop your headaches.
Another possible cause is food allergies. Try eliminating the most common allergens, sugar, dairy, and grains from your diet for a week and drink only water. If it is food allergies that should help. Then try reintroducing those foods one a day and see which one causes your headaches.

Im not sure if you're a fan of tea, but this worked very good for me. Make ginger tea. You can get fresh ginger at ay food store. Cut it up into slices then boil water. Once to water is boiling turn it down to a simmer put the ginger in and cover it for 15-30 mins. You could drink it just like that, but what I do then is pour that water into a cup and put a regular tea bag in it. Sometimes this has gotten rid of my haedache before I finish the cup of tea. Pluse ginger is very good for you. The taste might take a little getting used to.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck.
Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at

I would first of all try preventing the headache through complementary therapies, use them anyway, get a massage especially on the scalp, an aromatherapy massage using lavander especially on the face and scalp will work wonders. A massage will get rid of any tension or knots in your shoulders contributing to your headache, 90% of headaches are actually tension headaches if you didnt know that so massage and deep breathing is the answer. Also i recommend you do find the root cause and eliminate that instead of trying to use drugs that will only suppress the headache. Use the eight natural remedies aswell;
(1) Positive mental attitude/positive thinking- trust in GOD, be happy with who you are and with others. Love yourself and others, trust yourself and others. Have a positive outlook on life i.e. be optimistic, confident, have a positive self-esteem, see your own worth. be confident in who you are and your abilities, dont be negative and down on yourself, pick yourself up when you fall. This one is all about positive health, relationships with yourself and other people, positive self-talk, self-esteem, having faith, all about positivity, this is extremely important. a lot of illness is due to negativity or negative attitudes and emotions- at least 90% of it is.
(2) Plenty of pure, fresh air
(3) Drink plenty of water and herbal teas cut down on tea, coffee and alcohol or fizzy pop
(4) Eat healthily, have a balanced healthy diet, take plenty of vitamins and minerals and avoid junk food such as sugar.
(5). Get plenty of sunlight if you can not too much though
(6) Exercise in moderation, be active
(7) Get plenty of sleep at nights- 8 hours if you can, take some rest from things, chill out, have some me time, dont take on too many demands, relax, do relaxation. Dont be on the go all the time
(8) Learn the art of self-control or abstinence/temperance which means moderation in all good things and avoidance of the bad e.g. avoid poor lifestyle habits such as smoking, excessive drinking, drugs, junk food. Moderate the drinking or avoid it. Everything in BALANCE. AVOID THE BAD!!!
Find someone who will treat you as a whole person or take the holistic approach to your headache, who will take you an all factors of you and your life into account. One part affects the rest, a simple negative thought for example could trigger off many others and produce tension leading to your physical symptom e.g. headache this then makes you worry, take asprins etc and make it worse rather than just thinking positive and it will therefore go. Seeing a holistic health practitioner or complementary therapist is definitely something i recommend, natural health is the way to go. Also learn to manage the stress in your life, 90% of illness is caused by or made worse by a mixture of stress (negative thoughts) and/or diet and most definitely, LIFESTYLE.
Remember this: 90% of illness is caused by a poor or unhealthy lifestyle- way of living. Stress, negative thinking and a poor diet (aswell as lacking the eight natural remedies in our lives). A combination of these means ill health so turn it around and you will get healthy.
EIGHT NATURAL REMEDIES (INCLUDES POSITIVE THINKING AND WAYS OF LIVING)+ COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES+ LIFESTYLE CHANGES=
GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEING.
Hope this helps

Have you tried taking a decongestant (Contac will do) with one or two Excedrin?
I finally got rid of migraines for good, when I started taking a beta blocker (for blood pressure)
A friend of mine does it with Imitrex.
