Actually we don't have it whether we want it or not.

Freedom is a state of mind....not a government nor a particulair party can chain that. However, there are some men that believe that in order to make anyone submit, you must physically detain them. I was in a federal correction facility for two years.... and just like reading The New York Times.... i was all over the world.... the more you think... the more you will be free...

Yep! That is it.....I have begged and asked many people how to get rid of it...the gist is we were made with it and we will die with it. I thought if only I did not have free will then I could just do what i am supposed to do and and never be wrong in a decision or a choice but Not that easy..........We have to make the choice everyday to follow Him or we would cease to make an impact.

A lot of people don't believe in free will (fate) hence it is not forced on us...proving there is free will. Oh yeah and your in hell pal. You must have done something wrong before your pre-earth judgment day.

The thing is you use that free will enough to believe that you don't have free will, then you will no longer have free will.

For example look how many people believe their lives are predetermined. A predetermined life, can never have free will. But yet there is this illusion of free will.

Truth is actions have consequences, but you can do whatever the heck you want.

It wouldn't be a real life if we had no free will, you see this life is a test to see what we choose. If we didn't have free will, it wouldn't be a life worth living and it wouldn' be a real test, it would be like asking your driver instructor to drive for you while expecting to score high.

Yes, we all have free will. Yes, we all wanted it. Those of us who made it to earth (versus getting kicked out of heaven with the devil and his followers), fought to have the priviledge of free will.
Just as people say "Freedom isn't free." Freedom wasn't free then either.

Yes we have free will to do whatever we want to do but with some things that we do there are major consequences that follow.

You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice,,,
If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice,,
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill,,,
I will choose a path that's clear, I Will choose freewill,,,

So you are saying that you would rather NOT have free will?? You would prefer to have all your choices in life made FOR you?? I think it's wonderful that we have a loving God who is kind enough to give us the free choice instead of forcing us to love Him. It might not seem like a free choice if one puts it in the perspective of "love Me or go to hell", but it really is a free choice. We know that we can live our lives as we please. We know we have the freedom to do that. We also know that we can live the way God wants us to live. We can think that we have no choice but to love God if we want to go to Heaven, and we can think that's a bad thing because God is taking away our freedom to live the way we please when it is put to us that way. What we don't understand when we think like that however, is that living God's way is not a bad thing. It doesn't mean that we have to be unhappy or miserable, or that we can't have fun or be wealthy or whatever. God loves to bless us. He gave us this earth to enjoy. God created pleasure. It isn't His desire to take it away from us. It's His desire to give us a joyful life. He only wants us to do things that are good for us. Sinning only hurts us. Maybe it feels good at the time, but it hurts us in the long run. God simply wants to be a loving Father to steer us in the right direction so that we can live happy and joyful lives.

As for Heaven, God doesn't tolerate sin in Heaven and therefore won't allow anyone in who has sinned. Because we have ALL sinned, and God knows we can't possibly earn our way to Heaven, He gave His Son to pay the penalty for our sin. All we have to do is to make the choice to accept Christ's sacrifice on our behalf and allow God to come into our hearts and guide us in our lives. Is that REALLY such a horrible choice? Hmmm - living with God in our lives and being happy in ways that others can't even fathom or living without God in our lives and not being as happy and facing unforgiveness of our sin and going to hell as a result. Might seem unfair to have the only choices be "God's way or the Hellway", but it is what it is. God's way is not bad. Why would anyone WANT to choose the other way?

If anyone complains that they don't want to choose God but they don't want to go to hell either, then they are saying they don't want the choice to follow God to be made for them (by God) because clearly they have already stated that they would rather not follow God. Well, God gave them their wish. They don't have to follow God. They just need to be aware of the consequences of their choice.
