John 3:16; for god loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him MIGHT not be destroyed but have everlasting life.
John 3:13; Moreover no man has ascended into heaven but he that descended from heaven the Son of man.
I do not think that we live after death. People like to take one scripture out of the Bible and turn it into what they want. But then when they are showed something that would question what they think. Most people shut down and will not talk anymore.
Some things to look at for those who think you live on after death.
Ec 9:5,10; Ps 146:3,4; Joh 11:11-14, 23-26; Ac 7:60; Ps 115:17; Isa 38:18; Eze 18:4; Isa 53:12; Job 11:20

How about Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not parish, but have everlasting life.

There is none; only those who obediently do the will of God will live forever.
You have an excellent grasp of the true situation!
"For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life." - John 3:16.
"He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; he that disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him." - John 3:36.
"For this is the will of my Father, that everyone that beholds the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him at the last day.” - John 6:40
"Furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but he that does the will of God remains forever." - 1-John 2:17.
"After he [Jesus] had been made perfect he became responsible for everlasting salvation to all those obeying him." - Hebrews 5:9.

John 3:16 speaks of eternal life. Only those who accept HIM as their personal Savior will have it and the others who denied him will spend eternity in Hell.

Men live eternally. Men that die without Christ will receive eternal punishment for their sins. Those that accepted Jesus as their savior and repented receive eternal life in paradise.
"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."
Matthew 25:46
