Usually you put a friend or family member in charge....but if you want to do it yourself, you just get invitations, mention where you are registered, etc..
Plan games. Like the melted chocolate in the diaper game so they guess what candy bar it was.
The tray full of misc. baby items passed in front of each guest for 5 seconds max and the person who remembers the most wins a prize, etc...
prizes usually are little home decors, picture frames.
Good luck!

You don't plan your own baby shower. That's like begging for gifts.
A shower is held to celebrate the upcoming birth of a child and is thrown by a close friend or relative (but not your mother or sister).
If someone doesn't reach out to offer to throw a shower then you should take a look at your relationships with others.

Usually a friend or family member plans it for you. But if you're going the solo route, make sure you get enough games, activities and prizes to go along with the shower: http://www.babbee.com/
Before you send out the invites, make sure you have your gift registry done so you can include the registry number with it.
Food, drinks, etc.
