Some theorize that Mary Magdalane and Jesus were married and had a child. Why couldn't this have been possible? Jesus was still human after all. He still bled and he still died. He wasn't a monk, he was more like a nomad going from place to place preaching the word of God. It was the chuch that turned Mary into a whore. It's the church that refuses to recognize the gospels that were found within the last 200 years, (i.e. Dead Sea Scrolls, Infancy Gospels, Gospel of Mary, Gospel of Judah.) Who's to say whether these scolls are legit or not? Who's to say whether the scrolls that are part of the bible aren't fake? Why exactly couldn't Jesus have been our lord and savior, as well as a husband and father?

Yes.
Jesus is divine and could have had a family.
But nothing in Holy Scripture or Holy Tradition even suggests that he did.
Both Scripture and Tradition tell us that Jesus was a celibate single person.
With love in Christ.

The books contained in the Dead Sea scrolls are wholly separate from the books contained in the Bible. They are steeped in Gnosticism which actually was in competition with the beliefs of the early Christians. The early Christians didn't recognize these writings as being inspired. If you were to read some of these books you would immediately see these books come from WAY left field.
Jesus having a family? That raises questions. Jesus is the eternal God incarnated in human form. What would His kids be if he had kids? Would he have sex with one of HIs own creations? Would His kids be immortal? But no, there is absolutely no credible evidence that Jesus had a family. We (Christians) are the Bride of Christ, not (just) Mary Magdelene.

Although there is no documented evidence that Jesus married Marry Magedline but it is stated that after his departure from Jeruselium, he was accommpanied by three ladies named Mary who died and burried in Afghanistan, China and Pakistan.Jesus himself died in Kashmir at the age of 125 years and burried there. If the church gives any credence to the Dead Sea Scroll, the whole hypothesis of salvation of catholicism will collapse and if they do not consider mary magedline as whore the sin theory will collapse miserably.

Jesus did not come to start a dynasty on earth. He came to die for the sins of mankind, be raised from the dead and return to the right hand of the Father as our priestly intercessor, and to return someday to lead the final battle against Satan and establish his kingdom of God on earth. This is the fulfillment of prophesy and the law and the prophets. All is complete in the eternal Christ.

well did u think that something as important as the wedding of Our Lord would have slipped off the mind of 4 of the greatest Gospel Writers?????
C'mon..... A wedding is the first institution of God..... and if His Son got married, do you think he'll not record it???? and if u look at the timeline of the Gospels u've mentioned above, they r all after the 1st Century.... Which makes it even more unreliable....
God Bless You..... Hope i've answered ur question....

The purpose of Jesus coming to earth as a man was to balance the scales for the benefit of humankind and God's purpose for the earth due to Adam's original sin. Adam was perfect and past that sin along to his children. That is why we die. Balancing the scales meant a perfect human life without blemish of sin or family must be given up for Adam's family (us). That gives us the chance to fulfill God's purpose for the earth of humankind living forever. That is why John 3: 16 was written.

Of course Jesus could have been perfectly divine as well as a husband and father. But the religion that was fashioned after him needed an aura of someone more super-human. it is a pity the designers of that religion could not remove every reference that pointed to a human side of Jesus.

Personally, I think he was with Mary Magdalane (whether they were married or not) and I think that he did have at leas one child.
There will never be any way to prove it either way because the Bible was written by man (and as we all know, humans lie)

He could have. If he were married, it wouldn't have changed anything about his ministry, his death, or his resurrection. If he were married, it was probably intentionally left out of the original gospels due to the fact the women had little respect in society.

It's a very good question. I don't see any reason why Jesus' marital status or parental status should diminish at all who he is. The issue seems to boil down to people not wanting to see sex in the equation. I've watched all of the recent postings, television programs, etc. about the possibility and they haven't affected my faith one bit. I never have wanted Jesus to fit my personal specifications..........he's bigger than that, fortunately. Thanks for asking the question ;)
