sharing implies a give and take, a mutual benefit and enjoyment
pushing is a force, implying it happening against ones will
if you are in a situation where it's understood that there is an exchange of ideas that is going to go on, that is sharing
if you start telling people that Jesus loves them, that the only way is the Jesus way, that even if someone doesn't believe that jesus still loves
THAT is pushing
no one asked you
no one cares what you think
it's unsolicited and unwanted

You share the Word of God as in talking about it and mentioning it in a open way, pushing the Word of God is trying to force or make someone believe in something or someone without giving them a choice or thought about it. No one should be forced to believe in anything, but if you share it in an open manner at least you gave someone a choice to believe in it.
It is all up to you in the end....

Sharing is where I have the choice to say No Thanks, and be heard, and have my choice respected.
Pushing, as I guess you've already worked out, has absolutely Nothing to do with respect.
A good example of pushing is an R&S question like "I don't believe you don't believe" (implying there's something wrong with me).
Where's the respect in implying I am in some way defective because I don't do things Exactly the way the questioner does?
In my eyes, people like that do Christianity no favours.
Maybe they're working for Satan...
Best ask them.

Pushing the word God comes out of a sense of Group ego or religious Ego - and that comes out of doership.
Sharing the word God comes out of Love.
No one realizes the divine by reading books - but the one who understands the meaning of Love realize the ultimate :), and become self contented
All paths are true, because there is only one conciousness - which is formless. People call it in many names, quarrel each other just to enforce one's way of thought on others - but only few will experience. And when you experience the ultimate, there is no duality, love blossoms, and you become a true muslim or hindu, and you even transcend the label of hindu or muslim or christian, and love flows towards the entire creation :)

I feel if you are living according to God's Word, then your life is an example of God living within you. People should be able to tell something is different about you. If you live contrary to the Word, and you constantly tell people about God and they can't see HIM living in you, then you are a hypocrite and need to examine yourself.
Hope this answers your question.

that does not lie with the person delivering the good news but the person receiving it. If they are open to it, it will be understood as sharing. If they are closed to the word, it will understood as pushing. You are still called to share the word and the Holy Spirit will take care of the rest.

Sharinig the word of God is the example you give by your life. Be ready to explain your faith when someone brings up a matter that touches on it.
Don't hide your faith.
Pushy is trying to contest with someone about their beliefs or unbeliefs.
But the best sermon is your own life.

I think it's the difference between thinking someone else's salvation is all up to me and knowing that God is the One Who gives the increase.

sharing the word would be if you were at church and you speak your mind or if someone asks you a relevant question pushing would be knocking on my door or yelling at me in the street I think when you invade someones space and preach its not effective if I wanted to hear what you have to say I would have sought you out or asked you

If someone asks me a question or bashes God, I will reply with the Word. If they never asked me and are respectful, I leave them alone.
