Well, there's a lot of folks out there that call themselves vegetarians, but eat chicken and fish. Odd but true. It is the red meat that they seem against. Unlike Phoebe (Friends), "If it's got a face, I don't eat it".

Vegans on the other hand don't touch any meat, poultry or fish. Neither do they wear any animal hide/skin or use anything that has come from an animal. Some will even reject medicines that have been tested on animals. But, that is a TRUE vegan.

the word is semi - vegetarian. one who eats fish is a piscatarian x but anybody with animal rights concerns knows that poultry is the worst possible meat you can eat. chickens, & turkeys are an absolute no no for anybody who knows about the conditions they are kept in x

My family has a silly word for this - fegetarian. F for fish and fowl. I'm sure it is not a universally accepted term, but it always makes us smile.
