The Bible consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). Romans 1:26-27 teaches specifically that homosexuality is a result of denying and disobeying God. When a person continues in sin and disbelief, the Bible tells us that God “gives them over” to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God. 1 Corinthians 6:9 proclaims that homosexual “offenders” will not inherit the kingdom of God.

God does not create a person with homosexual desires. The Bible tells us that a person becomes a homosexual because of sin (Romans 1:24-27), and ultimately because of their own choice. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person choosing to sin by giving into their sinful desires. If a person is born with a greater susceptibility to anger / rage, does that make it right for then to give into those desires? Of course not! The same is true for homosexuality.

However, the Bible does not describe homosexuality as a “greater” sin than any other. All sin is offensive to God. Homosexuality is just one of the many things listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that will keep a person from the kingdom of God. According to the Bible, God’s forgiveness is just as available to a homosexual as it is to an adulterer, idol worshipper, murderer, thief, etc. God also promises the strength for victory over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:17).

How liberal should we be ? Homosexuals can have all kinds of sex BUT cannot reproduce. Many want to adopt kids to bring them up at "home". What kind of upbringing is this ? Messing around with a child having a set of genes created by another pair of human beings. How did society get to this level.?
We want too much freedom . Freedom in some areas which may not be an acceptable norm. Did the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah really exist ?
What more deviant behavior is in store for people ?

If you are going to ask this on a spiritual level, homosexuality, in God's eyes is a choice. He does love everyone the same, our choices do not make Him love us less. But that does not mean He will not question you about your choices. Not all homosexuals are doomed for hell. EVERYONE has the same chances. No one sin is greater than another. People still kill, steal, commit adultery; those are sins too. Does that stop people from doing them?

It does not say in the Bible that God will love anyone, no matter.
He loves on condition.
He is against homosexuality.
If someone persists in that practice AFTER learning God's point of view ...God distances Himself from that individual.
If the individual changes, God is very happy to love him, or her.

The difference is loving an individual, versus hating their behavior.

God hates all sin, not just homosexuality. He hates judgmentalism, theft, lying, murder, adultery, etc., too.

But He also provided a way out of our sinful bondage, and that was through His Son, Jesus Christ.

God also loves murderers, child molesters and any one that lies. He doesn't love the sins that they commit. He is ready to forgive anyone who comes to Him. He says that if we confess our sins and repent, ( which means to turn away from the sin) He will forgive us and accept us into His kingdom as His child.

God designed sex to be between a man and a woman within marriage. Homosexuality goes against this, and so is sinful.

I love my children no matter what they do, whether it gets them in jail or not. But I do try to warn them. I can't stop it, but when it does happen, at least I tried.

Exactly!

Thank you. We are all sinners that need to trust Him for His grace. Grace is unmerited favor. It means you can't earn it.

he loves the person but hates the action(sin). God's love is unconditional and if you repent your sins to Him and accept His son, Jesus, you will be forgiven!
