my Boyfriends family (mexican) always keeps the pit int the mixture.. i dont know why but it does keep it fresher... his mom also put a slice of lemon like a quarter rine sind up so the lemon absorbs the air and the rine protects the quacamole from tasting too much like lemon
good luck.. and great now i want some....

When storing guacamole always always keep the seed in the mixture. This prevents it from browning and it should last a couple days. Make sure your container is air tight.

I will put my left over guacamole in a storage bag, like a sandwich bag and suck all the air out of it before sealing the bag. As long as it does not have contact with air it will stay good for a couple of days.

Lime in it usually helps. also if it turns brown in the fridge, just scrape thetop part up, because the rest is usually still delicious. Storing it in a ziplock bag also is helpful.
Also, Guacamole is great with anything- chips, crackers, prezetels, but it tastes best on the first day.
Hope it helps, enjoy!!

Put it in a little tupperware container, and then press plastic wrap on top of it, and then put the lid on. That'll keep it better for 2-3 days.

I store my in a tupperware container with the pits still in the gaucamole. For some reason, this stops it from turning black.
